I always found it interesting how Miami developed guys really well but almost always paid them way over market value (Tyler Johnson, Kelly Olynyk, Dion Waiters, James Johnson, Hassan Whiteside, Tyler Herro, and to a lesser extent Goran Dragic). If they could just not fall so in love with their own players and not overpay for their extensions, Miami would be a great team every year.

Ah, I was willing to hear you out until the Duncan slander. Dude was fantastic this year. Yeah, he dropped off a cliff right after he landed his big contract, but folks appropriately called him out and he eventually got his head straight. If you only look at this season's production, he's probably a little *under* paid. Honestly, I think the only thing Duncan needs to be a perfectly complete player is to braid his hair into cornrows.

Imo. Jimmy needs to show up in the regular season. You can’t just get a bottom seed and assume you’ll catch lightning in a bottle again. Even the first round against Milwaukee that year had the heat shoot way above their statistical averages and had Giannis miss about half the series. Jimmy is getting old and outside their one two punch in Jimmy-Bam, don’t have a lot to be excited about. Their window is fastly closing if not already closed, in my opinion
