If you can clear the content you want to clear it makes absolutely no difference. If you're stuck and running a team differently with a DPS carry would result in a clear, then the titles may apply

Man I am so cooked, I was trying to build pity on Jiyan's banner just to actually get in. Now I don't have ANY pulls man.

She's def not a sub-DPS, more like a dual DPS like Encore. You just swap between her and another DPS and rotate cooldowns, she just happens to have off-field damage and buff other units.

Yinlins amazing，perhaps the most valuable character in the game when she comes out especially fif you can S6 her She can be a main dps，sub dps，20% support for all characters --- if you get dupes--- and ult boost 25% to all characters and an additiona 20% boosst to electro. Can AoE whic helps you clear all grindy combat fights super quickly. She grants AoE to ALL your team members when swapped out --- granted，you do need to set her marks first. Arguably even more value than Varina as healing isnt as necessar when we all get much better at the game. With dupes，she is 100% a main dps if you choose to build her that way. Just look at the ridiculous buffs her sequence nodes give her，literally added 70% more attack to some of her moves and even doubling her alts damage with 100% buff. She has the best aesthetic --- red is an awesome color --- and the most vaule out of any character in the game currently as she will be a staple in any future Electro tean.

@@cruLife-morningSTAR Verina is SUPER valuable and I definitely see why people would choose Verina. The only reason I believe Yinlin is more valuable is because Yinlin can support the entire team and deal an insane amount of damage herself (even when she's off the field). Verina's buffs and heals are amazing, but many people have uploaded videos of beating bosses without taking any damage, some even soloed the bosses. Which makes me personally rate her healing effect a bit lower than most people. Couple that with the fact that the strong bosses in the game can even 1 shot you, the heals don't seem as good as it seems (although, to be fair, Verina does protect you from fatal damage usually once which is really good). Also, Verina does very little damage and is usually swapped off really quick (however, I agree that she is super-efficient and great at this role) while Yinlin can actually do damage when she's on the field on top of the utility she provides the entire team. So with Verina you rely on two other characters doing damage, and with Yinlin all 3 members of the team can do damage if you build the team that way (which is very likely with more playable units arriving). Which is a 50% boost to the amount of characters that can do damage on your team which is huge. So, I guess either pick is reasonable, but I'd personally say Yinlin is more valuable. Yinlin can also solo bosses and events easily while Verina ---despite struggling ---can also do that funny enough but her DPS is very low and it's not efficient at all to play her like that and will take longer and you'll get hit with way more attacks as you're not killing the boss as fast so you need to be even better at dodging and parrying.

Wait I didn't even know Yinlin had sub-dps capabilities. Must...resist...urge...to pull

This video is clearly a troll so for anyone who cares she IS a sub-dps. You a run a main dps, a sub dps and a support in this game. The only thing that makes a sub-dps is a short rotation, like Havoc Rover. Havoc Rover can also be a main dps. Additional affects like buffing outros and off field damage are exclusive to sub-dps roles, unlike your damage rotation which BOTH sub dps and main dps do. So yeah, you can use her as a main dps, but what sub dps are you going to use with her? What weapon? None of these questions are answered by the video so I hope you all realize this isn't meant to be taken seriously (I hope).

Ok .. people need to realize that almost all if not all characters can be main DPS it's just not gonna be meta min maxed but any character can work as good enough main dps even healers not only that but unless you min max echos and rotations there is just not enough difference to justify not playing character you want over character is meta. Just have fun, don't min max tear lists.

@@NsyteIcyShadow No it's not... What team do you use right now? I'll bet 50 bucks you have a sub dps, there's no reason not to have one. It's as important as main dps. If you're not swapping characters you might as well be doing solo runs. Characters like Sanhua, Mortefi, Danjin and Yinlin are extremely valuable. Calling them sub-dps isn't an insult.

As far as I want her to be main dps, without having a6 .... her multipliers are just ...so bad... just do the math and you will find she deals 1/2 of Cals DPS per rotation and once you put them together, her boosting ability just boost Cal further making it even more obvious how bad her multipliers are .. I'm still copping that they would boost her base multies so we can play her as main without needing a a6 ...

Well... in a team with Rover, Rover is actually the sub-dps. She does all her liberation damage in one attack, so the buff Yinlin gives requires Rover to be on field for just a few seconds. Rover is one of the best sub-dps and main-dps in the game. Basically people have no idea what they're talking about. Sub-dps and main-dps are equally valuable in this game. It's supports that are optional.

I was worried there for a second coz I want to make her my main DPS with her weapon but I thought it would be like having her signature weapon is a disadvantage when using her as a main DPS. Sure, the Ripples might have more damage use for her as an on-fielder, but Stringmaster is cracked as well, that gives additional damage off field. Still going to make her na on field DPS with her sig weapon. Can't ignore that 36% crit rate. lol.

This video is dogshit, optimally you ALWAYS use a sub dps, so her sig weapon off field buff will come into play no matter what team you use her in. Support is more optional than sub dps in this game. It's as important as main dps.
