Thursday's child is a definite no-skip album. Every single song had its own significance and hit me a diff way. Opening sequence is my favourite, no doubt. It just made such an impact and ive been humming it ever since it released. i was like "wow" every single second thruout the entire song. Trust fund baby i already KNEW i would adore. it didnt disappoint, at all. It was such a lowkey ballad---just what we needed after Opening Sequence. its such a heart-wrenching song---you can hear their emotions through their voices. it sent shivers through my weakass body. Good boy Gone Bad was such a refreshing song and the MV was incredible. every member shined and they all wrecked me one after the other. i couldnt take my eyes off of them for a second. Lonely boy - YEONJUN AND HUENING KAI SERVED AND SLAYED. the constant switch up between their voices was such a clever way to intrigue me. ever since i heard hyuka's voice in the preview, i couldnt wait to hear the rest of what yeonkai had to offer. TCHFTG - AHHH OUR THREE BOYS SOOBIN BEOMGYU & TAEHYUN DID WHAT THEY NEEDED TO DO. Beomgyu definitely did an excellent job. It's such a fun and funky song, definitely smth I'd blast in the middle of the night. right when i heard the snippet, i already knew it would be major bop. 11/10. *chef's kiss*

If you didn't already know, the phrase 'Thursday's Child' comes from an English nursery rhyme - I have so many of those in my head, and it's finally useful to share haha. It's a little verse or 'fortune-telling song' about the days people are born on: 'Monday's child is fair of face, Tuesday's child is full of grace, Wednesday's child is full of woe, Thursday's child has far to go, Friday's child is loving and giving, Saturday's child works hard for a living, And the child that's born on the Sabbath day is bonny and blithe and good and gay.'* For extra reference, the Sabbath day is generally the traditional religious day of rest - Sunday (also where the word 'sabbatical' comes from I think!). Gay is used in the older definition the word came from meaning simple gaeity, i.e. happy and lively. And 'fair of face' means fair in the general sense of good - so good-looking! I think there's other versions too, but the one I know matches with TXT's song. It made me really happy to see them reach for traditional rhymes as a reference, and I love what they turned the phrase into. Comment what day you are! (I was born on a Sunday XD).

TCGFTG literally makes me feel like I’m in one of those 80’s movies and I’m just vibing to the song in my apartment or something lol I LOVE it! I think the "Angel or Devil" theme that txt has woven through their whole story is so beautifully represented in their vocals. Like their harmonies and falsettos, soaring high notes and breathy tones are genuinely heavenly and transcendent. But they also ignite passion and seductively captivate with growls, cackles, power vocals, and raspy tones. I really think txt has such a unique color that sets them apart in a special way. I loved seeing your emotional response to their voices on this album, Caitlin. I'm right there with you.

The boys did confirm that the album follows the five stages of grief! Denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance :) !!

This album is honestly put together so well. Conceptually this album takes you through the 5 stages of grief. Really a beautifully and smartly composed album. I feel that this album has the most consistent storyline how you explained with the stages of a heartbreak I really loved that about the album. Everything melts into one another and feels cohesive wow wow

after listening to this album countless times, i definitely think this might be their best album to date, not only bc its the first one that has at least one of the members hand in it, but bc its so well thought out. the tracklist, the lyrics and sound of every song makes so much sense not only in the context of this era but also as a continuation to their previous work and kinda sets the tone for whats coming next with their third chapter as well. all that without even talking about the VISUALS that they served in the teasers and mv, im just so proud of them cause they always make me feel proud to call myself a moa

I love TXT’s discography and all their albums are so good. But this is my absolute favorite and they keep growing so much every comeback. No skips and I can’t even pick a favorite. Yes! I’m so disappointed in the venues. Planning to go to Chicago so hope my sister and I can get tickets. They need a bigger venue or more dates.

I know it really seems like a shame that the concert venues are smaller considering their popularity, but the one thing that keeps standing out to me is that a large chunk of txt's career has happened during the pandemic and they have not had a lot of opportunity to play in front of live audiences. And the reality is that performing in large venues in front of big crowds carries a tremendous amount of pressure and most performers slowly work their way up in experience to be able to command stages like that. Txt haven't had that chance, so while they have grown so popular through the last couple of years, they really are just now getting to embark on a live tour of any kind. As sad as it will be that many MOAs might not get to see them, I genuinely feel like bighit is actually looking out for their mental and physical welfare with this decision. My hope though is that the consolation will be that the shows will be really intimate and special for txt and for the MOA that can attend, and that they will grow and learn so much without being over burdened and will be able to come again for a much bigger tour full of experience and confidence soon. No matter what I think they will kill these shows.

My thoughts exactly. They could definitely sell out huge venues but the mental pressure of performing in front of so many people would be extremely overwhelming. While it is sad that the venues are small I think it will be better for the boys and definitely more memorable for both TXT and MOA.

I like the whole album but the subunit songs just hit different for me. I loved Lonely Boy cuz the hook sounds really simple with just the guitar, which amplifies the feel of lonliness in my opinion. And I LOOOOVE retro vibes so I was bound to end up liking Thursday's Child. I actually think part of it is sampled from an actual retro song but I can't remember what song it's from. And my most unexpectedly pleasant but probably fav song on this album was Opening Sequence. This live stage for that is crazy too, Taehyun went ham!! I feel like Opening Sequence could've been the title instead of Good Boy Gone Bad.

Thursday's child has far to go is a really good outro to the album, it gives such hopeful vibe even the lyrics are not lol.. but after listening to the album and having tchftg as the outro is very nice.. it gives me this thoughts which I need to continue and follow their journey for the next comeback and the storyline after listening to it

They used Taehyun's pre chorus for Thursday's Child. That and the bridge were my favorite parts so I was happy about it. I have the same top 3 as you, probably a different order. I wish they'd divided the lines in the unit songs differently instead of having the youngest do the chorus. It would've made the songs more dynamic and I think I would have enjoyed them more.

No skip album again, and Lonely Boy has grown on me (a couple of other songs in their discography had to grow on me too, yet still all albums are no skip for me!). I love the way yeonjun did the song tbh. And I was looking forward to Trust Fund Baby so much and was NOT disappointed in the slightest!! It’s just so beautiful. The album really does show the story of a break up really well, Thursday’s Child Has Far To Go is an amazing way to end the album honestly. Opening Sequence surprised me the most I think.. the live stage they did was just breathtaking! I’m so proud of them. Another masterpiece album. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that this album is about the 5 stages of grieving in a relationship: (long comment warning) Opening sequence is like denial, they replay all of their past moments in their relationship, and they are trapped remembering who they were with this person. It a movie scene played in rewind almost as if the ending never came. Good boys gone bad is anger, they kill their past selves and become a different person because this "partner" destroyed the good in them. The lyrics and pronunciation comes across very hateful in this song. Trust fund baby is bargaining, they reference LO$ER=LOVER, and come to the conclusion that without the lover they just become a loser again. If they just had money, would they have a lover? Or would they still just be a loser? Lonely boy focuses on depression, with the Korean title "tattoo on my ring finger" this song is about pain, remembering the tattoo on your finger the constant scar of your past. He can’t erase the relationship so all he feels is loneliness. And finally, Thursdays Child Has Far to Go is acceptance to a degree, it references the child nursery rhyme. It's almost as if they finally believe that there is a life outside of their relationships and that they do truly "have far to go" still. The lyrics really reminisce on the fact that the breakup is real but It’s almost as if they still aren’t ready completely let go. My favourite song was definitely tchftg it just really hit me both because I sonically love the sound but also because even through it’s very upbeat it still has super hard-hitting lyrics. I’m so happy with the sound they are currently creating, and I think they have truly grown into themselves as artists. Already so excited to see what comes next from them… p.s. if anyone has any other theories to expand upon or change feel more than free to reply, I love building theories with other MOA’s.

I feel like Trust Fund Baby is about that sadness of feeling like you have nothing to offer, in love, or in life in general. Lots of little references to previous tracks, like the $ sign thing, being a 0, the hunnit bands (Yeonjun thief era, and basically saying that money was meaningless because it was never theirs to offer), then the fact that a trust fund baby will never be at risk of getting a "game over" like a major setback in life (they've used game metaphors so many times before). I might be reaching but I feel like it's not just about feeling less than someone who's financially better off and them having more to offer in a relationship, but also less than someone who is better off in love itself if that makes sense. Like someone who is open and free with love has more to offer than these broken sad bois. Word in MOAville is the tracks on the album each represent a stage of grief after a breakup, not sure anyone's confirmed, but it works as far as I can see. All the tracks are so good. I'm obsessed with Opening Sequence especially. Anyway, TXT continue their run of no skippable tracks.
