​@@George-li1yv but it is not a place name, it's just "Northeast" the area... I think she can tell because of the pronunciation... It is not a single word in Chinese actually, "Dong" for East and "Bei" for North, and this guy pronounces both word correctly and he knew "Dongbei" is not a single word... You would think it is a single word normally, so you pronounce the word of "bei" little bit lightly which would sound like how the girl speak it for the first time because she is talking in "English" form, however if you emphasis on both and pronounce them kind of separate word, well...

No, she guessed because he knew what/where dongbei was, not from the pronunciation. She even clarifies later on. He didn't really pronounce it in any chinese way, just in an English pronunciation. The same way he pronounces Chengdu later on in english

@@ocerco93 but most are not in the eastern and southern part of the country. Mostly are Christians and you don't say asla valokom to them. It's disrespectful, we say "Praise the Lord" in the part of the country.

South African here. I started learning Russian about a week-ish ago because of your vids. I understood quite a few words and phrases that were said (like gorod and zhenshina etc.), so I guess progress is going good. Enjoyed the vid!

speaking on someones first language is always a great win. especially when its not an easy language to learn.

No way did I think the young lady #1 is Chinese. Her English is very good, and it would be hard to be critical on how she communicates.

The last girl: in many Asian cultures, politeness is highly valued, so you can't go wrong as a Westerner pumping up your manners game. The languages include forms that include manners in particular ways that don't exist in European languages.

Man I just binge watched a bunch of these and was hoping for a new episode. Sweet!!

Im genuinely curious how many languages can you speak ? 😳 I used to study Japanese for 10 years. And I even studied it at university level . I love japanese music especially visual kei and metal from Japan is some of my favourite music. I wanted to be a Japanese translator but now I'm studying music because that's my passion and i want to teach guitar. Your videos are really entertaining, and i like how polite and respectful you are while still being friendly and outgoing !
