You can trace a lot (of our current problems) back to McConnell’s bullsh!t refusal to allow Obama to nominate a Supreme Court judge - WHILE HE WAS THE PRESIDENT.

Imagine being in that situation room during the invasion of the Capitol, then hearing "the threat is coming from inside the White House".

We're still learning how deep this went. Had the vote count in the House not been done 'that night', a member of the SCOTUS was going to stop it that very next morning. This whole thing goes MUCH deeper then we imagine. It won't be over until the billionaires are held responsible.

I was watching some vid over at the Internet Archives (aka Wayback Machine) presumably used in court cases since they were not part of Speaker Johnson's release and I do not recall seeing in the J6 Committee hearings. They showed more of the behind the lines of the WTE event, including many officers rotating out to get their eyes flushed due to the chemical irritants. Some going in were using helmets of those going out because they did not have their own. On one, a rioter is brought to the back of the tunnel and given CPR, most likely Rosanne Boyland.

Here is Australia politicians are viewed with distrust but life goes on ! We go on with life but every three years we get to pass judgement on the Prime minister and his governing party and if necessary we remove them at the ballot box and there is always a peaceful transfer of power ,its called democracy . We have a Federal system of government here but we follow the Westminster model . America threw the Westminster model out the window probably because they wanted to get away from anything British but look around the world at the western democracies following the Westminster system ,it works . Its a stable system !! Australia ,New Zealand and Canada and the UK use this system they all are stable and have a peaceful transfer of power and never have election issues .

And they never have had to deal with a insurrection. They did have to deal with a peaceful protest with outside agitators though.
