I can't help but to say that Diesel has definitely been on something. Maybe that's why he's so goofy- Good vid, as always!

I already had extremely low expectations... and I'm still let down. Definitely a Mattel product

I just thought I'd share this, but. Earlier, my grandmother wanted to go to TJ-MAX and I was just wandering around. For the first time in years, my 19 year old ass saw a Thomas figure and for a split second, considered buying it. But, hey great video! Always entertaining!

I'm 17 and I have a whole tub of the damn things in my bedroom, been collecting for years.

Not gonna lie, Thomas, having a black boiler is kind of interesting. I don’t prefer it over the blue one, but it’s definitely interesting. I wouldn’t mind seeing that in a highly industrial take on Thomas.

Thomas and friends was also currently owned from HIT entertainment and Mattel creation after Wilbert awdry's Death from home in March 21, 1997, That busy book was really weird and wheels looks black like Donald and Douglas in season 2, I remembered these two scottish twins since i was young.

Honestly I always liked the smell of the busy books for some reason….

Great review! Here's my thoughts on each figure Percy: The more I look at this model the weirder it gets... that face is absolute nightmare fuel it feels like its staring into my soul. Also, I wish the wheels were green rather than black Thomas: EWWWWWWWW why is it so squished? I'm glad we have more details with the lining but titan it's so squished and looks awful. How did they make Thomas' face worse than Percys too?! Why didn't they bother making the boiler and wheels blue? That would've made this better James: I sound like a broken record at this point with the faces but AGH! That's horrifying it's like something out of a nightmare. The lack of detail is so disappointing and oh my goodness what is going on with that chassis?! At least James' wheels are the correct colour and he has coal Nia: The face isn't that bad? It's bad but not as bad as the others I've talked about so far. The lack of details is disappointing though. Pity they didn't make Nias boilers and wheels orange like the show that would've made this model better Diesel: This is one of the better models and even then he isn't accurate to AEG which says a lot. I wish they at least gave him the purple that's across his body in AEG too Sandy: Sandys okay I guess? The lack of details drags this model down though Carly: This model is weird and I dont know why? Maybe it's just Carlys AEG design in general. It would've been nice to position her crane arm tbh Kana: In terms of design Kana looks great! Her face is okay I guess but, what I really don't like about this model is that she's SOOOOOOOOOOOO LONG Bruno: The lack of details on this is really disappointing poor Bruno never seems to get the details he deserves Harold: Harold's face is probably the best of the figures in this Busy Books set. Those lack of details sure are disappointing though

It would certainly be interesting to see you do some AEG-themed electric customs, but yeesh, these probably aren't it. You could _maybe_ get away with Diesel, the low-detail and matte finish at least work for him; or Bruno, if you sort out the paint for his windows by hand. At a push, you could potentially cut off James' smokebox and attach it to a better chassis, but its probably not worth the effort. Super weird that they're a better fit for OO/HO though. Not sure how that scaling might affect any modeling efforts, I imaging they'd look very out of place on N-gauge wheels.

AEG Busy Book locos (and helicopter) just look wrong, to put it politely. Makes me glad that I saw a better version of the "Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends" Busy Books in bookstores as a kid during the '90's.

The old busy book engine were way more detail for the time. Most of them had white running boards

I had a busy book but lost it and the figures i found three of them which was Henry, Gordon, and Clarabel, then i lost henry and Clarabel, but have the Gordon with me still. It was also a Classic Series one which made it even better

The Busy Books Thomas books are extremely underrated in my opinion. The new All Engines Go versions of the characters admittedly do look horrible, but they didn’t always look like that and I wish they got more love. The original Busy Books engines actually had great detailing for something so cheap and so small, they used the have white running boards, molded siderods, accurate proportions and on some versions window detailing on the front and it’s sad that they got rid of all of that detail on the new ones. I don’t know if anyone will ever see this comment or agree with this unpopular opinion but I think the My Busy Books Thomas range had more detailing than i\a lot of other Thomas merchandise lines and I love just having them on the table or simply pulling them out and looking at them for a bit and I’m sorry your first exposure to this line was… whatever it is now but I can assure it wasn’t always like this! I had the original from a long time ago but, many of the pieces,the mat, and the book itself are lost. But, WHAT HAS THE QUALITY OF THESE TOYS BECOME? THE ORIGINAL MY BUSY BOOKS ENGINES HAD BETTER PAINT JOBS! Great video tho!

I had one of the first Busy Book variants. I can tell you that the mini figures from that were far better detailed than these. This is probably the worst AEG merchandise. And you pointed out two potential uses for them, 1. A human chewing alternative for recovering nicotine addicts or 2. cat toys.

Kana was very interesting Highspeed diesel this diesel was based on 0 Series Shinkansen was the same Size is bigger then Kangi From Thomas and friends in Season 24 Special: The Marvelous Machinery of the 75 anniversary of the Railway series and the tv series. 0 Series Shinkansen was also known as a "Bullet Train". These were the first generation of such engines and were designed specifically to run the high-speed Tōkaidō Shinkansen line in Japan. By 2008, all units had been withdrawn from active service, however a large number are preserved, including one at the National Railway Museum in York, which was donated as a gift by the West Japan Railway Company in 2001.

They probably could be made in to n scale but appear they would be more of the tomix n scale not the bachmann n scale

I can’t believe that they made An All Engines Go My Busy Book I have the original Thomas My Busy Book and why do the figures look so big? The figures on the original Thomas, My Busy Book The figures look so small and why does diesel look so terrifying?

These engines are so cursed that I am kind of impressed. I’m impressed at how poorly made these are, and how Mattel Greenlit them when they could’ve just gone with The Prototypes. Edit: Honestly, I don’t think these things deserve to become N scale runners. At best maybe you could buy like a bogey chassis and make them become dummy engines for HO/OO Rails. But even that seems generous.

Remember how good the originals were? You can tell these ones were made just for profit

You can shave off the james face and add a better face and the lining seems pretty easy to add on

You should still convert percy or just straight up try too
