I’m in love with this but they seem kinda uncomfortable the set I feel doesn’t reflect what we know their persona’s are. I always pictured them chilling on a set in socks or something on a couch like a living room kinda vibe set. This looks like they’re in a haunted mansion. They look great don’t get me wrong but like sis come on this looks so uppity and their personalities are so clearly just chilling vibing and shit

Whew, I can't believe they're on tv. That was so good, glad all of the cursing is still there. they are so damn funny, love them and as a long time listener of their podcast I couldn't be prouder.

the read SHOULD be at least 30 minutes long. I wish they'd bring back "black excellence" that's one of the best parts of the show. can't wait for the next episodes!

chile I'm one minute in and this is not it, for me. I realize people need time to get in a groove, and so the presentation may get better ... but at the end of the day, I don't need to see them sitting on a fancy set dressed up nicely, reading from a script at the cameras. what made the podcast successful is completely absent from this show, imo.

Amazing first ep! I appreciate all the detailed work for the set but anytime i imagined their show, I think couch, Or perhaps table? Casual yet grown setting. Maybe have their laptops out to simulate what they actually do during the podcast instead of prompter. Can't wait for next weeks episode! & Hopefully a season 2!

I feel like the prompter is just fine, but they need to raise it higher so it's no so obvious that they're looking at the prompter. And also, the editing around them when they're interviewing someone needs to be better lol. I need my friends to have flawless editing, not fuzzy edges.

The plethora of comments about these two people seeming “uncomfortable” on their first television show is...alarming. I always thought their fan base was full of intelligent people who understood that change isn’t easy and adapting doesn’t happen overnight, but here we are... Anyway, loved the first episode! Can’t wait to watch their gradual improvement as they become more comfortable on set. Been rocking with Fury since his solo KZread days and they really do make a perfect team!

This is so fluid, quirky, honest, and vulnerable. You two make patience and handwork apart of the DNA of the show, in any iteration. On top of the juxtaposition of nonchalant reactions. Great job!

I think most ppl imagine The Read as a casual kiki between friends, so the formal set throws off the vibe a lil bit. The (intended?) irony of being in a reading room doesn't quite translate.
