Haha this performance was them trying out something new and getting out of their comfort zone, because it was one of the first songs that they learned choreography for. It was such a nice surprise for us fans to see them dance!! They said it took them forever to learn the moves 😂 If you want to see more of their vocal acrobatics, I recommend "Nella Fantasia" or "Champions".

Don't forget they don't really speak english fluently, so to learn these lyrics and pronounce them well in a fast song while also dancing is amazing.

what? Mingyu speaks English fluently, for sure, he presented at a music conference entirely in English a couple years back. Hyungho would have needed English for his chemical engineering work as well. I think the others also speak English.

language has nothing to do with it. this whole performance was shit. they can't sing or dance. the whole kpop scene is overpopulated with useless untalented kids.

Thank you for your amazing reaction to Forestella again! They showed their Smooth Criminal performance in Immortal Songs 10th anniversary special episode for the first time. Also they performed it in live during their concert tour for their 3rd album; The Forestella. It was a big surprise even for their fans they danced quite well like this because Forestella is a crossover vocal group consisted of 2 classical vocals, 1 ex-chemist rocker and 1 musical actor who majors in acting. I mean none of them was a dancer at all..OK, at least the musical actor (Bae DooHoon) danced best of them and even the classical bass (Ko WooRim) dreamed to be a dancer-singer when he was a middleschooler, they were not used to dance as they are basically classical crossover quartet. They tried some "movement" barely couldn't call it dance in Gondre Mandre (Dead Drunk) performance before. So I thought they would do like that again. But BAAAM! Even I'm a fan of them I wasn't expecting such a dance move. They said they tried so hard practicing their moves 6 hours a day to do justice to this song. Because MJ's Smooth Criminal needs dance to be completed. No one in this world would reach the dance of MJ, but I felt Forestella approached close to the song. I saw their Smooth Criminal in live from their concert tour opened. And I kept following their concert tour afterward as well, I was surprised every time they got improved a lot not only the dance but also the singing. The only one bad thing was prohibition of screaming for covid situation. Last year they revived it as the covid situation got less gross and the audience could shout as wished so badly. Even it was a cold rainy evening at the moment, Forestella was a FIRE🔥indeed. Forestella is one of a kind. I love them so much!

I'm so happy to see another Forestella reaction from you guys 😍 You are such engaging reactors. As far as the song goes: Forestella cover such a wide variety of styles that not absolutely everything will resonate with everyone all the time. And yes, sometimes they try things out that may not seem very Forestella. But the fact that they try them is, again, very Forestella of them. 😉 I think it's great that they don't shy away from any iconic artists or songs, no matter the language. But then, I'm so deep in the rabbit hole that I would listen to them recite the phoneboook in Korean (which I don't speak) and enjoy it. 😅 Two of my absolute favorite songs of them are their cover of Scarborough Fair and Moonlight (to the melody of Greensleeves). I think both showcase a quieter side of Forestella you haven't yet seen that much of, if I'm not mistaken🌙🌿

Thanks for listening to Forestella's song. They express their awe for the original artist every time they release a cover song. This video is personally very disappointing. It was an edit that didn't show the dance point. The editor must have liked the member's faces a lot. Forestella also released MJ'song Thriller. It's from Forestella' 3re album ( title track Nella Fantasia), but unfortunately it didn't come out on TV. Instead, there's a concert video fancam.
