Look in your FB messages I sent you the common way to get your title.

I would swap everything over to the new frame. It’ll save you 1500 on the broker plus then it will have a clean title which might make it more valuable than a rebuild title. In this process I would also clean up all the remaining water damage.

I love how you explain these things with the gotchas that arise when you salvage these bikes. Its Crazy this beautiful bike is marked for destruction.

great videos Brandon. I suggest the get another frame, part swap from the flooded bike to build up another bike on the legal frame. then its registrable. having a legal road legal bike is the goal. I look forward to future videos.

Where i live water damaged vehicles have to have wiring loom replaced to revin…. Swap looms with the black one and reciept it to youself as coming off vin no’ dah de dah. Job done. Silly thing here is airbags as well , ive seen water damaged ones going into accident damaged ones, go figure dat one?? Laws are made to get ya thinking. I admire your tenacity and work, keep it up.

That why I quit building bikes, it was always an issue dealing with getting the paperwork right. Then loose money cause you can't the title right, and if you can some people won't do it or it cost more than you have in it 😢

Having worked delivering insurance vehicles to IAA and Copart, these bikes sometimes lay on their sides outside in the storage yard (most of the storage yards are gravel or dirt). Could be the reason for the possible rain water in the exhaust though sometimes they are washed for photos before photos are taken for the internet. I bought a Roadking awhile back and when it was delivered it looked like it was drug through the mud.

Amen! That is my exact situation. I have the bike done, but I can’t get the title inspection done. It sucks. If that part was easier I would have already bought a couple more salvage bikes. As it stands, its just too hard to get them inspected in Washington state. I may end up having to sell it as a salvage bike.

you're leaning a lot! detailed as always! insurance ? tons of variables go into those determinations for sure who the adjustor is, company, type of coverage, mass catastrophic event vs one time individual event and on and on sometimes they make NO sense but .....

Always a pleasure to see what you got going on! Not sure what I would do. If you keep it you need a can of Corrosion X Aviation grade and flood the connectors and harness.

I’m using QD electronic cleaner so it should be enough.. hopefully. 😬 I shouldn’t have to de-pin anything but I’ve removed the starter solenoid to replace. It’s rusted and delicious looking. Of course you all will see that up close and personal.

@@BrandonBicasso That is good stuff to clean it but you will want to protect it too. That is where Corrosion X comes it. Silicone spray may work but don't know.

Is it possible to build it into a track bike? Seeing bagger racing is growing event in drag racing and road courses. It would be nice to see an Indian in the mix with all the Harleys doing it.

Can you cut the tube with the number out of the bent bike and weld it inti the water bike ?

When it rains, it pours or, in this case, floods.... Got a feeling you're going to be sitting on this one for awhile. But it sounds like you have a plan for either eventuality. Good Luck & I'll keep watching...

That sucks. Try reaching out to someone in Colorado. You can get a rebuilt title there but you will have to stamp the frame as rebuilt.

Use the new frame with a clean title, and good electrics fron wrecked black one, and presto, easy.

Does new frame provide new title? If so frame swap gives you opportunity to repair all water damage, it’s a nice motorcycle.

Either direct from Indian or from someone that builds custom bikes and have no use for the frames.

From Florida and during the hurricane Ian period. I don’t know which part of Florida so it could be either. I don’t have the title on hand as it’s with my broker when they send it off to be fixed.

Lmaaaao, Mrs. Bicasso was not having it. 😂😂😂 She said go spray the garage RIGHT NOW. Super Chief Limited came with a set of Dean Speed black slip-ons so I will use those. The exhaust on Super Chief is rusted out but the headers are still good. Cleaning them up with 000 steel wool.

@@BrandonBicasso Haha I don't blame her! Ohh, sweet! I have a pair of Dean Speed slip-ons myself. I like them well enough, but I feel like they aren't quite the sound I was going for. Unfortunately, at the time, not many companies were making slip-ons for the Chief. I was going to say, I saw the rust stains on the ends of the pipes but the headers did look pretty good. Best of luck cleaning them up! I don't envy the elbow grease you're going to have to apply to clean them up haha.

Does anyone know how or does Indian sell create engines like Harley does?

Hoping you can get the title corrected

It would be great to "fix" this frame's title but maybe moving all the parts to another frame isn't such a bad idea for the flooded bike. I bet that there is a lot of corrosion which you even cannot see at this point and this will give the opportunity to address this problem.

I vote for you to correct the title The wait will be worth it. Handle it B!

All facts.

Water damage is more dangerous than a total wreck,l think that is why it has the junk title.Even if you swap the frame,you would only be transferring the title,the super chief,when completed would not be road worthy then.For your own safety,especially a water damage bike,l would suggest you take it apart,get it rewired completely with new and safer wires and register it as customs build with slight modification.Or sell it to someone that resides in other states where it can be registered as clean....Thank you.

I disagree with the first statement to a degree. I’d take a water damaged bike than one that had frame or steering issues. It’s a journey that I’m on regardless tho! 🫶🏾

@@BrandonBicasso I agree Brandon. In fact, if you wanted to go full tilt, you could just source a brand new wiring harness and swap it out. As the saying goes. You make your money on the buy. And whether you part it out or get a new title. You will make money. The only issue I see is the time involved. Good luck.

I would not have have started the engine up before draining the oil and then putting in new oil.

Majority wouldn’t have bought a junk titled bike to begin with 😅. I wasn’t worried about it cause ya know.. I can always take it apart 😁. I checked the oil before I started it tho, but still.. there’s risk. 🫶🏾

Damn. On one side you get a story and some drama for a video getting the title changed. on the other you take the bike apart. On the good side about taking the bike apart You're giving it more thorough inspection. I guess seeing if there's any other problems

You probably have a fan that lives in a state that can change the title

Looks like a case of the unelected bureaucracies doing their Best to see that nether bike gets back on the road legally. They think one's to smashed to ever be running Again, and the other.. well they'll see that it can't By making it a no win situation For the average every day dude trying to bring it back.

Well, these are different states making decisions but def makes it more difficult.

Do it right period, switch everything to the other frame. I did not know that wreckers could steel parts from your bike here in Tx, they should not but they do, had parts stolen from me and other parts put back on, those parts were bmw but not the original. It makes me want to hit some one in the nose and I am a martial artist and just don't get angry and i know better too, but the parts were mine, damn thieves.
