Great movie, I wish they did a sequel. Critics was a little harsh about the movie.

I think they were harsh because they strayed from the source material. Thankfully, not as badly as other movies or series. I like the movie. I thought the actor they chose for John/Four was perfect. The problem with changing core principles from the source makes it harder to make sequels. That and it's really hard to convert books to movies especially when it's complex like this series. I will stop rambling now. One more thing and then I will stop. The main thing they strayed in were the powers. They were similar but different in the book which may be inconsequential in the early books but if you read later books. Let's just say there's a reason he's the star of the first book of the series.

What you missed is that Sam blasted one of the Mogs with a ray gun...stating something to the effect "I play a lot of Xbox" to Sarah. Awesome line.

If u hit it twice it will turn off your dislike hit it once it turns it on but just incase someone changes there mind then if they hit it again it will take it off of there

So, Sarah is clearly a stalker. If a guy took all those photos and put them on a website, he'd be arrested.

Loved that movie. Interesting storyline and just enough special effects to keep the power scenes realistic. Overdone special effects in today's movies make them nearly unwatchable.

It actually is.. there is about 30 or more books that carry the story. They are all very good. The first book that is similar to this movie is better, and some things are different as well. Worth reading.

If there's anybody who enjoyed the movie and the story it is based on a series of YA novels much like The Hunger Games. There's 7 books in the series plus a sequel series. It's a fun read. There's a lot that happens. But you'll be able to see where the characters and story go.

Was so hoping for a second and third for this movie. It's a crime fun original movies get deadened, John Carter was another.

They could re-do this as a TV series... tell more of the story and introduce some of the other numbers and special powers... I enjoyed it, and wish it got more attention.

Super underrated movie. deffinetly worth a watch :)

Ive always liked the movie but should have made a sequal to finish off the story but insted like what always happens in movie and tv shows they cancel them on a cliffhanger

I like it and assured to be hit like button 2 times

When they made this, it was with the intention of becoming the "next twilight" or "next harry potter" or "next hunger games".. like several other book series turned movies, when they don't perform as well as expected at the box office they scrap the follow ups, like Solomon Kane (which I thought was a great opening movie), they spend a lot of time world building, back story work.. so it being a one and done film it feels incomplete, because it is.

@@BradleyGibbs the ending of the film sets up a sequel.. so they were planning on making a sequel following the source material or not. There are plenty of examples of movie series, and tv series abandoning the source material because the writers think they can do better.

Glad I watched this . . . it saved me from wasting time and possibly money by tuning in to the whole wretched movie, a mashup of every super-powered teens versus comic-book aliens that strains credulity to the breaking point. Blech!
