Tim, in all your videos where there is no loud engine sound there is an annoying background noise, similar to a ventilation system. I reckon it must come from the camera itself. It's difficult to ignore it once you hear it. Do you think you can do something about that?

Exactly, and that is one thing Schmee does not do. to him, cars are a short range transportation appliance or a track toy. Even in the USA recently, he did not drive his Ford GT to any destination that was more than 100 miles away, nor did he take any cross country trips. I think he thought it too boring. So he flew and had the car trucked. WTF? An attitude of a Prius or Tesla owner. This is where Schmee really strikes out as an automotive journalist. They might as well be Hummel figurines to him. They are collector's items to him, not sources of open road touring joy. Freude am Fahren? For Schmee it is the Joy of Looking Cute.

@@maxnix346 he explained why he didn't drive cross country in the GT and towed the car from City to city. The mileage would be stacking up stupidly and hurting the value, plus the not so practical fuel tank in the gt, no luggage space and having to carry his girlfriend + luggage for 2 people.

Hello Shmee! Amazing content as always, thank you for all of your reviews. The GT is amazing piece of machinery. I love skiing and I really enjoyed watching the AMG GTR packed for a ski trip. I haven't seen anywhere is the luggage compartment of the GT actually able to accommodate the ski equipment of two people. I think it will be really interesting to see :) Keep up the great work!

That graffiti as an accent wall to go along with all of the different color cars is such a fantastic idea. With your collection having multiple colors, are you considering having an accent wall like that? Maybe you could do a collage with photos of some of the places you've traveled to that you're most fond of. For example, skyline views of the UAE, various tracks you've been to, car events in other countries, and maybe some of the more notable scenery from different parts of Europe would be pretty cool. You could even do the accent wall in black and white. Either way, I imagine that your garage is going to be a pretty cool place and just think, one day an up and coming KZreadr will be contacting you so they can tour your collection to use as content.

Hi Shmee, it's worth a look at Harry Metcalf's drive from the UK to St Tropez in the McLaren GT back on 5th Dec, he really rated it as a true GT. Regards.

Taming wild beasts like McLaren has done here brings a buyer who wants a McLaren but does not want to look/sound like he/she is Racing. Subtlety is not lost on the beauty of the design, she is still a Beast just more refined. The rear storage looks great for hanging clothes bags.

I’m never negative .. but the glue and ripples on the passenger side dash at 7;42 would drive me insane ... lovely car though. Can’t drag me out of Astons but still a lovely thing.

Read the title as "I bought the first new mclaren gt" and I was like wow shmee...

If you are buying your first mid engine super car you might as well buy that one. It will be a rocket performance and you can take it anywhere.

Wow, such a late delivery in the UK. They have been here in the US for over 2 months already!

McLaren are really shaking up the SUPERcar world with leading edge design and engineering. Makes Lambo and Ferrari latest offerings look so out of date already eg F8 Tributo = a facelifted 10 year old 458. The pick of the McLaren bunch is still the 675LT spider for me though especially in Napier green

Ty918 the aventadoor has been out since 2012, the hurrican also outdated, for the resonably produced cars, McLaren blows them out the water, engineering wise.

7 mils? 7 mils is 0.007 inches. (a mil is one-thousandth of an inch.) Or do you mean 7 mm?

The rear end looks quite a bit like a rear of an Aston Martin
