they play men's doubles with incredible skill, precision, and cunning. setiawan's read of the plays is clairvoyant-- it's like he's got a bluetooth earpiece with some omniscient narrator telling him what's going to happen next. and the way he can find openings, like @5:17 how he steps into the net and pushes the shuttle right past liu, who's guarding the net. one of the few pairs who can stand up to liu and ou flat game. ahsan's a bit fragile physically, and that might be what ends their long and excellent run

It's basic gameplay actually. When your opponent takes the shuttle low, step forward to the net. Because the opponent would do net shot or lift. No way it's a drive. This gameplay mostly used by asian players with front-back court player combination. Like the minions, the daddies, lyd yys, yuta endo, etc. Europian team needs to adapt this gameplay to compete in Men double

Well actually, they ARE old, in term of BIG FIVE World Rank, and or world class Badminton. Me personally, I'm 49 years old rn, still practicing Badminton, still playing Badminton, and I believe we know lots of older players with their good techniques, skills, etc still playing on the court. 60 years old, 70 years old, etc. But the Daddies are, yeah, old, because we speak about BWF greatest players/rank around the world here.

why they need to waste power when they know how to place and make the opposition tired.. Even i am a national u23 player and i too dont do jump smash becoz i want to make the opposition run (in mens double's).everyone has their own gameplan and we need to respect it just shared my view though(and my height is just 5.3 )while facing player of above 6ft
