Splattercat says this game's breathed life back into his channel, and hell yeah. This game brought me back after a gap where he wasn't playing any series I really could get into. I took a look back and this series is getting over 10x the views of any other series, and his first video is close to 1 million views. I think he's got the perfect storm, a game that's random, tough but not impossible so it's very highly re-playable, and it's sold out for now so the only way we can enjoy this game ATM is vicariously through gamers like Splattercat. The perfect scenario for a viral series.

When you look at Splatters Playlists, it's no wonder you cant get into other series. He plays like 90% of the games 2-4 eps long, how would you dig into that? They're over before they start. I personally don't care about short series at all.

Same. Although I do understand the need for them sometimes, such as when a game is just that short, or is not gaining enough views to continue -- or is just so bad that it doesn't deserve any more videos. IMO the best games for a long series on are story based games where the viewer and player both get caught up in sharing an addictive or emotional story together (such as Undertale or Horizon: Zero Dawn) or has enough of a random aspect to keep each new session fresh, such as with games like Rimworld or this one. Once game I really think Splatt should get back into is Hello Neighbor, especially with the full game now out.

Yea, i can see that, too. And a lot of times, a game just isnt that entertaining to play (and/or to watch). You could test that before starting a series, but thats additional work. I absolutely understand that, but man... look at the last like... 30 series on this channel. 2 eps, 3 eps, 4 eps... Sorry, but i'm not going to watch that. And it discourages me about future games and new episodes, because i instantly think, that it wont have a lot of eps anyway, so why should i care about new games coming to the channel? I love Splatter, but it kills my interest so much. The best games to watch are the ones, where the letsplayer can create his own story or the story is simply that great, i think. Like in Rimworld, They Are Billions or stuff, the story depends on the player, so the letsplayer can make the most out of it and it is unique, so it is worth watching, because the story wont be the same, if you played it yourself or have seen it anywhere else before. There are a ton of games, that would work... but Splatt has to know that himself.

You know, I'd love to see Splatt attempt an Undertale run. Unless he's played it off camera or seen enough of it to be too thoroughly spoilered to have genuine initial reactions to the game and story.It'd be fun to see Splattercat experience being doubled over with laughter, creeped out and getting the feels so strong he has to ball his eyes out all in a 30 minute video, then see it happen again and again for ~20-30 episodes. And there are plenty of other newer games that also have that kind of affect on people as well.

Glad you started a lengthy series again SplatterCat. I left the channel for about a year because you tend to play short lived games a bit. I want to see you keep creating content and I really enjoy consuming the content you create. I think if you can continue to find games like this - games that you can play for an extended length in number of episodes - your success will continue. The guy from marvel your talking about is the big guy in the chair in guardians of the galaxy. The guy that wants the infinity stones. The main villain in the infinity war movies. And he hates Deadpool because Death (the woman he loves) loves Deadpool. That's a very TLDR version of it. Also keep up the great game play.

Splatt, the reason people tend not to like long walls isn't because they're intrinsically bad, it's because you only have a finite amount of time and resources. A shorter triple tower thick wall will hold for much longer than a long single tower wall (and set front towers to attack highest level so they'll target specials first)

If you designed the long wall proper, the zombie swarms will attack those wall evenly, you don't have to worry about zombies punching holes in your defenses. Build dummy walls outside of your great walls to delay the zombies.

You're talking about cystic acne. It's not acidic nor does it burn holes into your skin, it is basically cysts that are below the epidermis, you know, your skin. Or at least that's what I think it is. Then at a certain point, those cysts get inflamed, become zits and demand to be picked, only for you to literally dig holes into your skin.

Their target is always your command center. They attack anything between them and it.

There's a hole in your long wall in the south, by the water.

try to putting watch towers behind balistas/executor. Fill them with snipers and have them priorities higher level danger units.putting two towers filled with snipers per wall would help you in a long way. also try putting thanatos behind walls for defences.

There are no such things as tactical errors. Get it together captain!

Imagine trying to explain those rugged looking scars to people. You have the lame way that makes people disappointed and confused. "Got these scars from a touch of really bad acme" and then you have the cool way that leaves them terrified and confused. "My acme is made of acid."

Next map is kinda easier if you like to spam scouts and have no problem building long walls and make the colony divided into sections.

In Canada there's a saying that goes "Your talken out yer ass"

The way I won this map was kinda cheesy: In the final wave when they have overrun your outer defences and the infection is imminent to start spreading behind your defences. Cordon off areas towards your CC and sell stuff like farms etc since by then, you won't need them and they will only spawn more zombies when they get infected. This will give you cash and resources and surplus power to build turrets and walls right around your CC. Throw up walls in the way of zombies to give your turrets time to complete and voila. You do need good outer defences though to thin out the zombies as much as possible.

Thanatos is one of the greek gods of death. If hades is the accountent of death then thanatos is the actual origin for the grim reaper in christian mythology as the guy with the black angel wings and giant bone scythe that goes and collects souls to put them in their proper place. In that way he's kind of an alternate for Charon (the ferryman of styx) but thanatos's lore is kinda... fuzzy as far as I know. If I'm wrong please do correct me, that's what replies are for :P

Rabbit in Glasses Thanatos is the God of death (that which separates your soul from your body), Hades is the God of the dead not death, Charon is the ferry man of souls into the afterlife (not a god). Thanos is the marvel villain in the marvel universe named after Thanatos.

I loved the "series" focus he had going awhile back, and more is better, as far as I'm concerned. That's where the character of this channel really comes through. Splat made the change for a reason, though, and I think it had something to do with KZread disincentivizing (in terms of promotion/monetization) his upload strategy. This is at least a nice balance. Something had to take the place of The Long Dark.

pelyphin0 yea the demonization of videos probably did an impact on the channel, on other videos they are monetized, but some arnt, which is a big problem, if he edits his twitch videos into single episodes, so basically what he does with his 4 hr long videos but cut it up into 20-30 min videos

I believe they slowly heal if they're in your claimed land (eg behind walls), but I don't think there's an explicit "heal" function beyond that

CinderKitty Burn a cat thats 22? Well prepare for its death pretty soon. Cats usualy do not live much longer then that. Not to step on your soul or anything. But cats simply don't live that long. So yours has a high chance to die sooner rather then later

splatter youre gold iconomy so low you need more than 1.5k prioritize the gold rather the other and also split you're units 25% for defending the expansion and 75% for clearing if you want to lessen the attacker before final wave

here's more but it's to late so try it in another game and it might sound crazy but I win brutal with 80days with this. try build 8 soldier center with wood research then try to clear the zombie before 40 days if you did it you win you have enough space and also you can read the wave movement or choke area you can plan easily
