Backing a flatbed is easier then trying to back a box to a dock. Why brag about that?

Yep,,, that’s the prime reason most drivers turn it off, which is a same cause when I first got into trucking I thought it would be like the old movies where their was trucker camaraderie on the CB but all I heard was blah blah blah blah blah. I still keep mine in the truck for traffic purposes but I agree, once I start hearing that garbage it’s off lol

I flatbed lumber, roof trusses on a 70 stretch roll off..etc etc for 15 years and never had a problem backing up when I became a "door swinger" 2 years ago.

And because of words like this, I will always park my reefer right next to a flatbed 🫨

I did flat bed for 4 1/2 years 2 of which was oversize heavy haul and dry van 5 and tank 1. When you can see both corners from 1 mirror, the world becomes an oyster. Pure flatbed guys talk a lot of shit but that’s because most only have experience in one form of trucking, it’s amazing how chill you get and non arrogant you become when you have actual experience in alot of forms of the same job. These type of guys think that they’re badass because they drive a 379 or w900 and that makes them “real” it’s kinda pathetic to watch really
