He works harder than most who just go and do a 9 - 5 job. He owns a media business, a youtube, a clothing brand, does various community driven things. I just won't accept that he doesn't have a "proper job"

the use of the word "proper" in the UK isn't always used how it is in the states. they don't mean it like a "real" job. I don't think it was meant to be malicious, the verbage doesn't always mean the same across the pond
