This is a very, very sensitive subject. If you have not experienced sexual abuse, you will NEVER understand the psychological damage it has on the victim. It's not easy speaking your truth. Especially when, the eyes of the world are watching. Don't just persecute the predator, persecute all who, willing turned a blind eye, KNOWING the truth!

Yea cause They let it get to that point. Their are red flags long before a man goes full blown nutzo on you. Not their fault these women don't love themselves enough to walk away at the First sign of trouble. Sooner or later No One will have sympathy for battered or sexually abused women cause they literally put Themselves in these situations. Not having a father or having a bad childhood no excuse to be an idiot & a fool for Any man out here. Too many on earth to let ONE hurt you. Grow a f***ing back bone ladies! So tired of yall crying over men mistreating us when We have the upper hand at all times. Nothing more satisfying than taking a man's power of thinking I need him than walking away from the bulls*** he has brought in your life.

Im disgusted by the comments from black women saying they were not forced and they are too old. Smh. If you have never been in an abusive relationship then u don't understand the intricacies of it enough to speak on why they stayed, etc. When will we stop blaming victims and hold perpetrators accountable

amarie9 Well I was in a physical and mentally abusive relationship and I feel this is a whole lot of bullshit. I know why I stayed be because I was trying to make it work to have a father for my son and also because I thought I loved him but some of these women are saying the abuse started within 2 weeks, there was no emotional involvement or any reason to try to work this out.

Always judging females even when they’re the victims I didn’t open my legs so quick I didn’t see the true him, we were bf/gf for 2years and engaged for other 2 years. As black community we blame white people when we don’t even support each other. Go and watch Surviving RKelly on lifetime. We have to make changes and help them out.

Kanye West I understand why you said slavery was a Choice, because of ignorant people like you who blame they’re own people even when they’re victims, it has nothing to do with opening legs, some people are sick they don’t show you who they are till you fall for them and then they take advantage of your feelings to abuse you. Abuse is not only sexual or physical. Abuse can be mental and ruin your soul and destroy your identity. We need to support and do something to save these little girls don’t be ignorant and blame your own people.

Abusers can tear people’s self esteem down by using aggression to trigger fear and shame in the victim to the point where their whole reality and self-esteem is skewed and they question their own sanity. From a third party perspective it seems so obvious to leave, but being in an abusive relationship actually in that situation you never know how you might respond to the abuse. The abuse is a weight that suppresses people under this heavy burden and makes them feel practically worthless and fearful enough to stay in such a toxic relationship. Even people stay in abusive relationships to manipulators who do not have wealth or status. It’s time to stop victim blaming when it’s the perpetrators who should be held accountable, not the victims.

PEOPLE UNDER 18 YRS OF AGE SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN AT AN R. KELLY CONCERT. TO THIS DAY, TEENAGED GIRLS AND BOYS HAVE FAKE IDS. THESE YOUNG GIRLS HAVE WEAVES, FAKE NAILS EYE LASHES, TOPS THAT BARELY COVERS THEIR BREAST. IT IS A MESS! THERE ARE SO MANY PROMISCUOUS YOUNG AND OLD WOMEN ON THE DATE SCENE, IT IS NOT FUNNY. I feel for what Drea has been through but I also see things online that make me look at her in a different light. I believe the women. I’m a survivor of domestic violence. For 8 years I lived with a man who would have probably ended my life had he not been murdered. My heart hurts because he was an abusive sick man but also the father of my daughters. It’s horrible to feel a sense of relief when a person loses their life and you have to look at your children and tell them that daddy isn’t coming home. That was in 2007 now I’m dealing with the murder of our 14 year old daughter. She was shot and killed in Dallas Tx while at the park with friends. She looked exactly like him and now she’s gone. I can’t even begin to explain how much pain and heartache that man put me through but he also gave me one of the most beautiful gifts of my life and now she’s gone..... my beautiful Natalie. I pray for both of their souls and pray that they are together because he was a horrible husband but at the same time he was an amazing father.... I pray God had mercy on his soul and that he now has them both together in his heavenly kingdom.

Wow, I’m glad I saw this, watched the Gale King interview and said to my husband, “ He’s yelling at Gale! That’s abuse!” He agreed. So many people think yelling is ok, hitting kids is fine (even necessary)...but no, it’s not good. This man needs a reality check and those women in his house need a break to see that they are in imminent danger. I wonder why the authorities aren’t stepping up the game with action? Probable cause last I checked was enough to go rescue them and get help before one more violent outburst. I believe ALL these women. Low self esteem keeps them there...they need to feel their own power. First, remove them & evaluate. Remove him as well and evaluate formally. Then take action. 😢

Why is the wife to blame? Why is she fake? She has his only children, she had to endure her husband, the father of her children pissing on little girls, screwing children, hanging out at high schools, other random cheating AND abuse?!? She can speak out when she wants to, she had to make sure her kids were straight, considering her kids were terrorized by other kids, her daughter now her son, and she gets no support from Mr. Kelly.... so what she didn’t talk bad about him on the reality show, she had her kids to think about. (It’s not like the rest of the world did) So what she likes his music, the whole damn world does, doesn’t take away the fact that he’s a monster.... what happened to feeling sorry for those that have been hurt or praying for people in need? Instead we keep pointing fingers at the people who been abused and hurt. God has to be extremely disappointed ☹️😔quit pointing fingers at people, and passing blame, cause you never know when you might need a prayer or the same kinda support that these ladies may need right now; instead you may get exactly what you giving out... 😳🥺

Everyone has different ways of coping. If people would start practicing empathy toward one another rather than judging people for going down a wrong path, they might be able to show themselves empathy and focus on healing their own personal wounds. It’s sad and pretty messed up seeing judgmental women as well as men in the comment section going in on these women who were victims to an abuser. People don’t always immediately know the wisest or safest path to go in these types of situations and sometimes end up get psychologically and/or emotionally trapped. This is probably the reason why so many people decide not to come forward about their own abuse in fear of this type of brutal judgement and ostracism.

But thank God in certain situations the neighbors called for help. Things happened to me as a teen that when I spoke out ...their were ppl protecting my offender... This gives other women the power to speak out, girls to speak out against abuse, trafficking, women in captivity ... No one can tell these women when its time to tell their story. And its so surprising to see the amounts of women who will try to hush these women.....and all these women pointing negative fingers on these ladies for sharing their stories...are some of these offenders mothers, sisters ..cousins, that have probably even been assaulted themselves. #stopsilencingvictims

I don't know much about the other women but I do know that abusers tend to have a rigid way of manipulating people into believing their innocent and the true victims and I wouldn't be surprised if that's what happened in this case. either way it doesn't matter the focus should not be on what the victims didn't do but rather on the CRIMES the abuser committed and got away with.

@Lars Honeytoast *I'm not sure what you're talking about w/ Charlie Sheen. As for Kevin Spacey, as far as I know there's only a few (2 or 3) who've made allegations against him. I'm definitely not saying those few people don't matter but it's not big enough for the media to do a big production on. With R. Kelly you've got 15+ women speaking out, 2 women w/ him now who'se families haven't seen or spoken to in 2+ yrs, the sex tape & Aleigha (?spelling?) thing from way back, the child pornography thing he was acquitted on from way back, the peeing thing from way back... The culmination of everything over the years & now the **#MeToo** & **#TimesUp** movements have made this a huge story. Having said that, I do think we'll be seeing a big production piece on Harvey Weinstein very soon. Now that's one man that definitely needs to go down. He's the devil on Earth.*

Some will say "And this is the result of being fast and thinking you know what you're doing when you really don't." But seriously I pray that these women get the help that they need to heal and move forward. And if this man is the creator of all this drama and others like him out there doing the same thing (who's not on his level,) take them down but get them help as well. This is sad and sick but it didn't start with Robert, this is been accepted in our community for as long as I was a teenager and even before then. There's too many broken women in the world and it's unfortunate that monsters seek them for self-gratification. Ladies listen to your mother or positive influence when they're telling you to slow down, when they're trying to teach you the right way. This might be a setback for some of you but it's also a comeback to love yourself, and to know that you deserve better..You are better then this. My prayers go out to everyone involved. I will be honest I am with mixed emotions because I grew up on his music. He has been a part of our household for many years so forgive me if I assume that a part of this is Revenge. I keep reading that he will be taking down just as Bill Cosby has. My response is the difference between Bill Cosby and R Kelly is that these women accused Bill Cosby of rape. The women of Roberts Camp willingly went, and willingly participated (trying to be grown except the ex wife), until the abuse took place. Regardless ABUSE IS ABUSE. I applaud you all for telling your story. You might have saved someone's life today.

My take on Drea Kelly and this whole #SurvivingRkelly thing My thing is this when he was at the top of his career you knew that he married an underage girl "Aaliyah" he was allegedly messing with underage girls and doing all these things with these girls that you were made aware of and you still chose to marry him you still chose to work for him you still chose to have kids by him and it makes me question what your motives are and I understand that it's easier for a victim to be able to come out when one victim have said that they have been abused but to me the timing of it all is just questionable it comes out right after the Bill Cosby Fiasco it comes out during the height of the me-too movement and I really side-eye this me-too movement because they have yet to convict any white men who are actually out here raping abusing molesting and being Predators against young girls and even some young boys but why I look at it sideways is because when it comes to R.Kelly everybody is coming out now when they should have got him locked up a long time ago but a lot of these people are coming out now when everybody else is pouncing on him I measure people character based upon how they treat somebody when they wining while he was winning everybody was hush-hush everybody kept secrets you walking in on him with little girls you not saying nothing but now that its popular to go after him now that we have #MuteRKelly #cancelRKelly you removing him off Spotify everybody is blocking him from being able to perform live and all these things I look at these people very questionably because why you are so quick to give him off to your lil niece give him off to your daughters you knew he was flying them out you knew that they was living with him and because he had the promise of a career it was okay but now that there's money to be made and everybody having a scandal he allegedly given STDs and all these things now everybody come out a lot of y'all need to be locked up with him because a lot of y'all was his accomplice who knew what he was doing and because checks was rolling in and a promise of a career yall sat back and did nothing y'all are just as responsible as he is

The problem I have with some of these women is that some of them was in their 30s, which meant they had choices to make once they found out who he really was. He didn't force them to stay they wanted too. The only sorrow I do have for is the younger girls he preyed on especially knowing their age. What he did to sparkle niece was terrible but also was the parents fought too for letting it happen and letting him off the hook for money. R kelly need seek help and God that's all because there is no excuse for him to abuse these women all because of his childhood.

It's hard for people to escape abuse. It's a pattern that is really hard to break. Plus when the abuser is famous and rich it's even more intimidating.

It’s so sad how uneducated people are about the various types of abuse. It’s easy to say just leave or someone is lying but believe me you are way in over your head before you realize it and completely isolated in every way thinkable. It takes everyone a different amount of time to build the courage to leave. This is the same thing that happens in cults and religious groups, you get brainwashed by someone you love and admire.

R kelly was a victim of abuse hisself so if he was abused what example does he have to look to on how to treat women he has some psychological damage he hasn't sat down with a therapist to talk to because he is always performing maybe that's his way of coping and to distract him if he was abused and there were no consequences for his abuser,so54 this behavior will seem normal to him. He's following a similar pattern of his abuser only difference is he got caught, now if his abusers were prosecuted he would know better and wouldn't commit the same crimes. Think about how he feel you all sit and talk about abuse but some men suffer in silence. Viewing being a victim as not something society thinks a man should be. Now that he know his behavior is against the law. He probably won't repeat the same pattern of abuse we have to learn that certain things are unlawful . It 's taught not something we expect people to just know. Who knows the feelings he has about being abused flashbacks repressed memories victimization powerless distrust he has if he was molested who knows how he feels or what he goes thru a family member well i will say this some women become lesbians when they are molested by male fam members. This became normal to him most dudes from my hood would say man if my sis tried me like that i probably slap her i dont play that. The bible talks about incest if you cant read how can you look in a dictionary and know what that is? He was powerless to get molested cause he didn't and couldn't stop it. Now he in a position of power he does same thing. He has some unresolved issues that stem from him being molested. I suggest you all go to therapy instead of portraying this bad image of him. He's repeating this cycle of abuse . He doesn't know how to treat a lady. He can't read or write he crys during interviews he has some emotional issues.

Say, what you will...but everrrrrry one of those girls went to live with him voluntarily. R. Kelly didn’t put a gun to their heads to make them be with him. Everrrrrrrry one of those girls wanted a love relationship with him, but instead was treated bad. Hence, is why he’s not in jail. My point is, those girls needs to take some responsibility on their part. That’s the part you will not hear.

Would you seek out a serial killer and then you have the one crying saying " She was my baby " but you brought females to him everyone that was in his circle should be prosecuted this series may just be the amo to finally get something done 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
