I loved the Navitimer when I was a kid and had no money . In the passing years I've come to realise it's unlikely I'll ever be put in in charge of navigation on an ocean going vessel so the window of opportunity for me wearing a Navitimer has shut . I still like other people's Navitimers.....

Heavy brand tax

Hi everyone no's you have to be crazy to buy a brand new breitling unless you're on a cruise ship (no taxes) because they loose so much on the secondary market could say the same for omega and Tudor.

Breitling and Omega are pretty poor resale, but i don’t feel Tudor are too bad.

@@WatchCharter hi thanks for your reply not on all Tudor s but I bought a secondary black bay chronograph steel and gold two years old in immaculate condition for £3300 absolutely brilliant watch it's about 7k new I'd be gutted if I bought it new.thanks John.

So just buy them used! I got three with the B01 from the Schneider era, bought at a fraction of the price of the new ones. All three would be around the same price as one new with an in-house movement today. In very good condition. Back then, they used the money to make great watches but might not have had the most effective marketing. Now it is the other way around. Waterproofing went down, crystals became flat, and prices went up. Buy used from the Schneider era. Great watches, and they can't really go much lower in price.

@@Roy-vh9rp thanks for your advice I totally agree. breitling have been in a rush to cash in on the watch bobble and IV seen first hand some of the quality issues breitling are having with some of the newer models. Problems with bezels like the ceramic numbers coming off what was sent back to breitling and was replaced and weeks later the same thing happened. The customer who showed me and explain this to me add home breitling for many years. The watching question was a bimetal chronomat brand new costing over £10,000. He's now trying to get out of this watch as fast as possible. The new breitling range do look very nice bus with quality issues and the high prices they are now asking I can now buy an omega all Rolex.

I can buy a really nice pair of full grain leather boots for 390 pounds.

they will charge what the mugs are willing to pay. i will stick with my £12 casio which is more accurate and more robust.

I love my Casio, wear it more than my Top Time nowadays 😂

I like the Breitlings but 2x what im willing to pay. I use a smart watch as it has find my phone and I find that really useful lol.

hello muh friend, that price rise is crazy, the “curtiss warhawk” one is pretty, named/colored after a plane which is interesting but $30,000??? i could buy a life time supply of chicken nuggets for that price
