Simple solution... QUIT developing on the coastline and leave the beaches in their natural state! The way God intended. And allow ALL people to visit the beach. Build the dang hotels and your goofy oversized homes across the road 😐🌴

I've said that for decades. Greed all around. Big property values, big tax revenues. Then the rich a-holes want the tax payers to pay for beach renourishment.

So what do you suggest they do with the building that are already there?...... And where should the people who live there go?.... Not the Oceanfront property owners, but the workers who rent apt about a block away from the shore?.....

The sand didn't just blow away... It got moved offshore, and hopefully built up a series of sandbars, that will then migrate back towards the beach in time.

When you don't have coqina as a base for saw palmetto and sea oats and seagrapes in front of a quality wall , sand will hit the fan , I'm in Wilbur by the sea.. bunch of sight seekers milling around homes that are crashed to the sea , did some volunteer work few weeks back on some rubble slides . Gotta maintain those walls , so the dune wildlife stays put.
