Great ride, progress comes incrementally. I would suggest at least a pair of knee pads, doesn't take much of a crack to the knees to make it a very long walk back to the lot and days of recovery.

I appreciate your persistence. Enjoyed watching your 'not quite' attempts. I so wish POV cameras could convey the steeps.

100% you should get a guide to show you the lines and technique. I walked the Hiline chute for years before getting a guide last year. He showed me the line and I just copied him. Cleared the whole Hiline descent first go. It's amazing how much confidence you get from just watching someone do it right. Phil at Sedona Mountian Bike Guides is the man.

Awesome that you keep trying. You'll get it!! Knee pads will help the confidence.

I had a gnarly crash on a non technical section of this trail many years back and haven't returned. Need to give it a go again. Curious how much snow they have down there after this latest storm. Probably going to be a while now before the north facing stuff melts off!

Glorieta is big. Steep climbs. A bit much for me, too. Dis you ride Winsor from top of the mountain in Santa Fe? Worth it. Best trails I've done lately are at Phil's World in Cortez, CO. Planning on Hartman Rocks soon, too.

I've heard good things about Phil's World - I'll have to make my way out there to try it sometime! In Glorieta I rode Chips & Salsa, then Holy Molé, along with the necessary connectors between each one and the parking lot, but that was it for that trip.

So I just got to the part where you hit the first hard slab or the drops at that first attempt you had it man you just got a commit a little bit harder and honestly I like to hit that part with a little bit more speed and then slam on my brakes when I’m descending into the turn on the back of that slab but a little bit more speed will really help you not get hung up so much but you really got to commit or else you’re not gonna make that turn so steep right there good shit, Donald

Yeah, I was psyching myself out, getting nervous and using too much brake. I know I can do it, it's just a mental thing!

Kudos to you. My son took a 15’ fall a week ago just before the last slab. Better safe than sorry. Especially solo. The traction was horrible. I think the cold played a role. Tires weren’t hooking up.

As others have said you're going too slow on the tech, you'd totally have it if you keep a little speed. That little bit of speed will help you continue to adjust your balance and steer the bike

In my opinion you are going a bit to slow on that technical section.
