Are you aware of any sort of exploit that allows people to bypass two factor and trade the skins off your account without getting any notifications? I’ve personally seen this happen to 2 people and heard about it from countless others. I ended up selling most of my inventory because I couldn’t ever find out how to replicate it or if it was user error in some way.

I hear about stuff like this all the time and I've never seen an ounce of convincing evidence for it. People don't want to admit its their fault when they get scammed and look for some explanation that absolves themselves. More likely than not, they phished themselves and made some other mistakes.

​@@TDMHeyzeus This happened to me, i was dumb and entered my password on a fake steam site but i immediately realized it after so i changed my password and everything. I thought i got lucky but a few days later they were still able to access my account somehow and bypass the two factor authentication to transfer my skins. I managed to track them down and they were also sold to a gambling site.

@@TDMHeyzeus i can willingly say i had made a mistake of trading it to my friend instead of stuffing it all in a storage unit and deactivating all accounts. Besides that, it was majority panic to get them out of my account before it was sold on market, (which i realize wouldnt have happened to all my skins) but if you would like more insight on this let me know! Luckily got 3 or 4 items back out of a shit ton of things i lost (majority Avangar boston Collection) before kebab was trade banned, he was told to hold them until either myself, or davegtown can buy it all back and what he said was "lets see if youre a man of your word" he also said he bought it off of a third party site and wouldnt clarify what site it was and was just super shady and showed no remorse for what he was doing. also marked up everything by 20-40 dollars from original bought price when i bought on buff.

i tell always to scammers " only cs to tf2 items" and they have no fucking clue whats an tf2 item and they say OHHH I HAVE KEYS I GIVE YOU KEYS lmao

in Roblox, skins like this are called “pois” or poisoned skins. If someone is hacked or scammed out of their item, and it is reported, any account that touches the pois item will be banned. perhaps valve should consider something like this.

So how could one know how skins are scammed before being bought? For our regular people who buys skins maybe once a year.

He got mad and then he banned me, few mins after that i got banned for "lowballing/scamming" in 80% of other big discord servers xD Bunch of losers

Was recently scammed for a MW kara lore directly the day after selling my car for $1000.. Basically gave someone my car.. I am still devastated :(
