These People Were Attacked by Rabid Animals
These people were all bitten by animals with rabies. In 2022, a fox snuck up on a woman in her front yard and viciously attacked her. In 2021, a man and his wife fought to escape an aggressive bobcat who snuck up on them while they chatted with a neighbor. In 2018, Dede Phillips was thankful to be alive after protecting her family by strangling a bobcat to death. Inside Edition Digital’s Andrea Swindall has more.

Nice story. Last month, May 9 2023, I was bitten by a dog. A dog owner decided to unleash dog in the city and dog happily ran across road. It got hit by a car and the dog was dazed, confused and running around the road. I quickly went over to grab the dog to pull it back to the side but the dog bit my hand. Luckily the dog was vaccinated but still hurt alot. When being bitten, the adrenaline kicks in and you don't really feel the pain but once things settle down, you start to feel dizzy and faint when your body adrenaline dies down.

29 people have survived rabies with extensive medical intervention and coma protocol. So "almost" is accurate. Granted, that's 29 people out of the 1.5 million people who have been killed by rabies since 2007, when the first documented survivor recovered. But when one considers that coma protocol has only been attempted on rabies patients about 207 times, 29 survivors prove that coma protocol raises the survival rate of rabies from 0% to 14%. No one who can afford it would be foolish enough to reject those odds. Especially since coma protocol also allows the patient to skip the most horrific stage of the disease.

Best advice coming from someone who's trained to work with very aggressive dogs. Best thing you can do is grab the animal itself, by the neck, front or back, assert yourself. Flinging your dog everywhere creates more of a prey drive and denies your animal the chance to run or defend itself. The best way is to just straight up take physical control of the animal and choke it out or throw it far to get away.
How scary.
The last lady is my hero she strangled a bobcat to death

My mom and dad were freaking out and I didn't know why. They told me not to let our dog go out in the backyard until they knew for sure the raccoon was gone. They explained a few minutes later that when an animal who is out in the middle of the day like a raccoon, fox, or oppossum...it probably means they have rabies because they almost NEVER come out at night.
This is why you mind your surroundings, otherwise you’ll get what’s coming to you. If you have legs, learn to use them by running away from a rabid animal.
