Crazy how they'll often run great events and experimental game modes and just toss it all away after a while. Who remembers when they tried that new PvE mode? That shit was absolutely incredible and yet they discarded it.

It's so fun playing a P-51 or P-47 at altitude where they perform as they should, instead of climbing from an airfield on the front lines. Sucks that the event only lasts a few days. I work 50 hour weeks then only have maybe an hour to game once the toddler is in bed

Same. I'm very lucky that they're running the event live the exact moment a huge holiday is happening here, but usually I only get some very few hours/week cause of work.

Agreed and it also sucks that we in sin don't get to take part in our favourite mode.

I have not had this much fun with a WT event in literal years. I really miss these types of events.

I wish they would do event where you get the chance to get unobtainable vehicles like the P-51A

Early war thunder sim historical matches, you used to only need 1 of the list of vehicles to then be able to use an entire lineup. For example i had like a yak-7b for the battle of stalingrad event and I could straight up spawn in the premium russian FW 190 D. You can imagine why they stopped doing that (it's how i got my only flight time in the po-2)

@@orka5352 You could also play vehicles you didn't have available in World War. It was really fun getting to try out things like the M60 and T-55 and AML-90

That was for Thunder League, which was a one off tournament because of scandals. Glad I have it, it's a fun little plane, but nothing super special; it's 97% the same as the Apache.

@@9999AWC Yeah, I know its preety much an Apache, but it has a better supercharger and climbrate. I play SIM and trying to get the Apache up to a good position at altitude is pain bcs the engine loses 500hp by the time you are around 3k

Ash, that was probably the most fun I’ve had watching any tier Air RB in a very long time. Sure, it showed that bombers can be hit by a single shell and the tail falls off. But it was still, as I think you said, exactly what War Thunder is meant to be. Great stuff! More of this sort of thing of thing? Please and thank you.

I loved enduring conflict. A game mode that had a long combat game that you could jump in and out of. Was a blast but people made too much rp/SL so they removed it

Dude I know right?! I loved that mode. Played it so much while it was active. It was a blast having a huge map, tons of objectives, feeling like I was flying a real mission, taking on AI and players alike. It was just fun. But air RB is super stale at the moment. @@tetronaut88

What are these vehicle lineups? BF-109Z? BV155B? YP-38? Haha. So glad they brought this back though I missed these events.

I think this event is what people expected air battle to be when they first got warthunder

My first flight sim was microsoft combat flight simulator; and the best part was going after formations of bombers. This game-mode needs more attention... and literally any other game-mode besides the single one we got. Just changing up capture point locations and numbers isn't a new game-mode.

Dang it, I missed this event..

Wish they added a gamemode where you don’t need the vehicles to play them, just to give people a peek at the vehicles later in the tech tree, which could motivate people to grind, and would help the game. Like historical events, PvE or PvP. For example some «Bomber escort mission», where you and a team of let’s say 7 or 11 other people get P-51s, and need to defend 20 bombers against German BF-109s, FW-190s and so on.

Or a «Fight of the experimentals», where they put some experimental aircraft up against one another. Would be great to see events where you don’t need the vehicles to play it. And if people fall in love with the aircraft they’re running, it could motivate them to buy premiums, which would benefit Gaijin hugely. Would love to see it

Would also be great if they forced players to play in first person in some gamemodes, (but still in mouse aim for those that wish that). But imagine some «Clash over the Canal», where you are forced into a Hurricane or a Spitfire in first person, defending your homeland against what looks to be an infinite wave of Luftwaffe Bombers, Attackers and Fighters. Would love to see it
