K10 is 4WD...C10 is 2WD.

C10/20/30 were 2WD 1/2, 3/4, and 1 trucks, and the K10/20/30 were the 4WD versions. They were indeed available in 3 wheelbases: 2-door shortbed, 2-door longbed (which this model is a replica of), and a 4-door crew cab version. I used to have a '77 K10 longbed so I'm going to have to get one of these. It seems like everyone else only makes shortbed RC models so it's awesome to see a longbed for once.

If not for the two-tone I'd go for the black one as I love my LC80 (hard to argue with that 2-speed) but I prefer the TRX4M Hightrail K10 body more. I do REALLY like the working tailgate though, FMS really does a great job with their hardbodies.

Man, I am in love with this version... being up to scale is so so important. Makes a huge difference. Great review, BTW

Have you flipped the front screws . I think the drag link is limited by the screws, same as fcx24 models

There's kits for the FCX24 K5 to turn it to a GMC with a front grill swap and there's someone offering the decals to scale. You'd just have to scuff and mask the body and paint the appropriate colors.

FMS offers an interior with a driver as an option. They make it look like it comes with the older version interior in several pictures, but it's not listed as an option on their accessory page for it.

TRX4m defender/Bronco have shorter wheelbase then the k10/f150 high trail. My son has the Bronco and I have a k10 fairly heavily modified

They need to change the diff gears to metal, my FCX18 lasted about 30min or driving before it broke mine and had to order parts to fix it.

Have you ever done a video explaining the technical terms you use, and what they mean and how to enable such features. EG: Drag Brakes, Dual Rates etc etc? TIA EDIT, Just watched your other K5 video lol, so now my question is, are these specific functions per vehicle, set up by manufacturer, or do all RC cars have these, and you just need to set up your Tranny to enable them, Newish to RC after a 30 year gap, and they have gone from wright brothers flight to space shuttle in that time.

Yeah, it's amazing all the technological advances in RC since the mid 80's to mid 90's when I was really into it until now!

I put my Devastator wheels on a Carisma subaru brat 1/24 for same mud truck reason has more wheel speed than the Dev.

I got mine today. The only thing I didn't like so far is the absurd size of the wheels. I have spare tires and wheels, and they will look way scale but, man, those wheels are comically big. Oh, well, also the tow hook hole is so out of place. They did a way better job with the LC80. I have spare hitches as well 😅

This truck looks amazing but I'm holding out for a Hilux version, I notice the original Hilux is now showing as discontinued.

The k10 is a large vehicle 131 on the wheelbase if memory serves, and that's the regular cab. I personally love the black truck. I do wish they did it full black too. The steering angle.... Does the axle have the screw that blocks it?

I have a bit mixed feelings. The original one looked more scale, but obviously technically this one is much more advanced. The wheels appear way too large. The suspension is set up for crawling (stiffer) rather than scale trailing as it lack some plushness. But I am going to guess that it would not be super hard to tune a little to one's desire. Yeah, the dimmed windows and no interior are a bit of a bummer.

I think this truck has a bit of an identity crisis. It’s super scale, apart from the fact that it has portal axles. K10s are by far my favorite truck and it’s just a bit disappointing for me to see the portals on this. If I get one, I’ll probably swap those axles for some Treal/Injora straights though so not a huge deal.

Those are called HARDLY riders, they buy the latest Harley ,spend the same amount the bike cost on upgrades, and a trickle charger so their $50,000+ harleys battery doesn't go flat while it sits in the garage for 364 days out of the year. I'm 32 , I've owned 6 Harleys and have done just over 120,000 kilometers on Harleys in the last 11 months, I don't wear orange, I don't wear harley branded clothing, and I can't see myself in the paint or chrome on my Harley! My Harley is covered in dirt and caked on bug splatter just like my helmets and shades. A lot of people buy Harleys just to sound like they're cool, but only take their fat wives for a 5 minute ride to a Cafe or pub for craft beer or coffee once or twice a month in summer, then I love sports bike and classic bikes too. I also wave to all riders, including power rangers.

Funny after reading how good black orange one looks I was just thinking dam he’s right but my Harley is red and white and I like to match it sometimes painting basher body’s 😂😂 last comment I read and reminded to look at red white , do you guys think same set up at the masher ? Shame they added portals and had to cut the bed, I was about to buy one but I’d rather find another original fms k10 and lift/2 speed swap it like I did on the original and still look more scale.

They need to go back to being scale instead of focusing on performance. I have a full-size crewcab squarebody i occasionally daily drive and they are nothing like this in real life.

I am only concerned with your strategy for having 2 channels. Experts say you should always bring everything to the main one, the maximize views, et cetera. If it's the same content, one channel. But, I don't understand s*** about it. Cheers

My back to back videos through December on the main channel made me realise that there is a better way to grow. I'm switching some over here but my priority is still the main channel. If I'd released 2 videos on the same day on the main channel, it would have had a negative impact.
