Pups are adorable! Magoo may actually transition to re-wilding (?) better than Simon since he's such an independent little guy. For the outside foxes, I do worry about Howie being able to get enough food on his own with his bad leg. He doesn't seem to come by every day.

While visiting a fox rescue (Second Chances, I think it was) she volunteered to help take care of these two for the center until they're old enough to start getting prepared for a return to the wild.

I love them all magoo appears to be up to speed .Simon never left magoos side during his sezures..they are such emotional creatures. You you need to look out for yourself too. After all if your down you can't help your fox fam if you not up to speed. Look after yourself too.

Morning den mum morning babies. Lol they are getting bigger they are getting smarter.. den mum is 5 steps ahead of them. They've seen the cats used the cat flap so it won't be long before they turn it in to a fox flap and take themselves out to play in the garden. So den mum is way ahead of them block off all exit routes before they become exit routes. Someone wants a quick cuddle with mum. Magoo is more independent and Simon is a mummy's boy. A bit like chip and Jimmy pip and Daphne. The boys were more like Baz and independent and Daphne was a mummy's girl. Maybe he's wingeing because he wants to play or maybe he's teething and in a bit of pain. Try an old towel tie a knot in the middle wet it and put it in the freezer and let him chew on that it may help. That's what my dad used to say lol. Magoo is just trying to get his own back for all the times Simon jumped on him when he was poorly. But it's great to see him playing. Magoo are you sure your not part bunny or kangaroo lol. Knackered themselves out. Night babies. Oh up and our again. Of course his little winged could be him laughing and happy. They are known to do that as well. So when he's out playing he could be laughing because he's happy. Just a thought. Xx

For dinner Foxie will have sausages egg apple and nuts. And some cheese. Cold here now. 5 degrees C now in late evening. Hard to believe it was summer some days ago. And soon comes the snowfall they say.

Morning Debs. My coffee tasted particularly good this morning. I’m just about to get a refill. I recently hand reared and released six side stripped jackals. Really sweet but with six it was a huge amount of work. I have found that the ones like Magoo who did their own thing were the first to leave the soft release and they were a lot more independent. They also were harder to scare. Just what they need in the wild. I reckon Magoo is going to be the one who provides the genetics for many generations whereas you can see the Simon personality is the happy carefree soul. His character for life is being set right now. It’s amazing. We are so lucky to be able to witness wildlife in closeup. I moan quite a bit when I have babies in the house but I do love it. For someone who studied the behaviour of animals it’s a treat.

Deb, I think you mentioned the McGoo had seizures(?). If that’s the case, you are doing the best thing for him: making him happy and feeling loved and safe. I had seizures in my 30s (thirty years ago) and they stopped when I stopped working overtime at bad companies. I am convinced that a happy, fun and relaxed life is the best non-medicinal treatment. So, all the love, cuddles and attention you give McGoo is REALLY good for him. Also, plenty of nice sleep is good for the little guy too. You are absolutely the best person to help McGoo get better!

I like the name Colin for a future addition to the gang. A friend of my Mum's had two cats, father and son. The father's name was Colón (big tail) and the son's name was Colín (small tail), because the Spanish word for "tail" is "cola". 😂😂😂🤣🤣

Simon is all over you, and that's a good thing. He loves Auntie Deb and that's very justified, seeing how much you do for him and Magoo! Also, you keep cuddling him and catching his belly, so why wouldn't he love you? Magoo is still an olive, so much younger it seems! So he's a bit more shy. But they're so cute together, especially sleepy!

Hi debs foxes in answer too your question in relates to the scones i use just the word scone not scogone like you said you dad uses when you have yours which way do you do yours or enjoy yours the Devon way or the Cornwall way, a lot off people say its butter first then jam but i just wondered what's you use or do you put cheese on yours as you can have cheese scones and butter scones too what's your favorite you can see there growth in them young foxes how long you got them now and what's wrong with his leg i feel i must have missed that's mentioned, one off your youngsters magoo is much smaller than Simon how old are they ive forgotten now, you brilliant with them who was the lady in the background your house friend you have living or someone else?
