Ooh Sakuraco and Tokyo Treat subs are on my wishlist! Love your videos, even the nonfood has a food sponsor! I want to visit Japan very much-watashi wa Yonsei desu (Americajin). In Denden those paper dioramas, especially Studio Ghibli look fabulous. Also gachapon for realistic mini-food. I love making dollhouses and Japan makes the best mini Japanese-style food that can be found in gachapon. I love the controlled element of surprise in gachapon--you are still guaranteed to get a prize for your money, and it may be cool🥰. US gachapon doesn't seem to include such items? Please do a gachapon haul🙏❤

It's been years since I went to Denden Town. Thanks for making this video. I miss this place so much especially as a toy collector for Ultraman, Kamen Rider and Gundam. I've been to Japan so many times, it started to feel like a second home.
My inner child just screamed in joy and then passed out 👍🏻😁
mrs Eats is so darned cute. ❤
Is this the place you all walked through a while ago on livestream?? Thank you for going back and doing a deep dive into the area. This is so awesome!
Looks like a very cool place! Would love to visit one day, thank you for taking us!!💖💖
Love from Kenya 🇰🇪 ❤
Oh no! It’s probably good that I didn’t find the first store when I was in Japan even though I went to that area a few times. I would have had to but another additional suitcase!
I l❤ve your sweater Mrs Eats 🥰. What a fun place to go. This has gone on my Osaka Wishlist 👏. Thank you so much for another excellent video ☺️🫶
Paused over the floor with the guns. Mrs Eats was just getting excited by the pineapple grenade. My uncle went to Japan with his National Guard unit in the late eighties. He brought my dad some model kits that were 1:1 scale replicas of WWII hand grenades. The models were so detailed that you could unscrew the igniter and see how the weapon worked IRL. They were one each Japanese defensive grenade and U.S. smoke grenade, as well as two German grenades - the infamous potato masher and a small offensive grenade called a Goose Egg for it's size and shape. Offensive grenades are made with a shrapnel range less than their throwing range. Defensive grenades means that the fragments of shrapnel will fly over your position and, therefore can hit people who are attacking your foxhole while you huddle in it.

Can you get the real ones in Walmart?
Well, they had me at the Ultraman stuff.

I remember Ultraman from about a half century ago.
Regarding airsoft ("BB") guns in America, there's definitely enthusiasts who like to collect them and play matches with each other. I think the emphasis is less on realism because, after all, you can buy the real version. But it's not uncommon for gun owners to also be into airsoft, either as a way to use gun tactics without hurting anyone, or as a way to practice for the real thing.
I love how happy Mrs. Eats gets over the littlest things, she's definitely easy to please. Lol
Just discovered this channel today, love it already.
i really love your reaction on that figures
Thank you for the video!
The dolls are called Blythe. 😊
First of all thank you for making these videos.. Secondly I love these videos the only thing that could be added is tags for these shops and stores..
awesome, thank you for the video :)
Love this video! Thank you so much for showing Denden. Studio Ghibli Dioramas are ❤
6:30 - Have to correct Mr. Eats here, ヒトカゲ (Hitokage) is Charmander X'D Charizard is リザードン (Lizardon). And the one in the middle is Charmeleon or リザード (Lizardo). Fun fact - tourism vlogger 'Sharla In Japan' has her channel named after this Pokémon line - she started off as Sharmander, she's now Sharmeleon, and her aim is to become Sharizard :D (I think she changes her channel name based on her subscriber count). 22:59 - I wish I could work out which of these jewellery/make-up cases comes from what. I usually know these things due to the research of Kenny Lauderdale (he covers a lot of old stuff from Japan on his KZread channel).
I love Taito Station! My husband won a Pikachu from a claw machine there, and was cheered on by the teenagers watching him.
Thank you!
Wow first time trying DRS xD @16:27 Sadly no Gold cabs, only White Cabs lol @15:56

Collaboration with Paolo from Tokyo episode now!! The KZread gods need to bless this channel. The algorithm seems to like comparison videos to the US but idk doesn’t seem like a fun video to make.
Ive missed a few videos but good to see you guys. Seems like you guys & NihongoDekitawithSayaka would make a good collab
❤ Wow! Love see so many different anime stuffs . Love it ! That was so cool 3-D pictures cards and Gundam models kits. And anime figures that so cool. Saw one spider man with robot. Surely look so rare is it ? Thank for show tour. Awesome!
Wow, wow, wow!! Looks like you could spend so much at these stores 🤩 I built my first Gundam this year, super basic one. Was more fun than I thought especially when it was all built.
and here, i thought Mr. Eats knew his Pokémon 😹
That Ghosts and Goblins cabinet 😍

Oh man, Japan dioramas are so evocative and well-designed. I should never go there, or I'd end up with random assembled models filling up my house.
That gunpla selection looked pretty good
I have never been a figure collector... until I went to Denden Town and the more local specialty shops in Hiroshima and Fukuoka as well. Everything was just so damn cool. I came back with loads of stuff.
I probably could blow almost an entire vacation day in the area, just to soak everything in. 😄 I'm a bit surprised that the Taito Game Station actually had the 40th Anniversary Space Invaders Arcade 1-Up cabinet (@ 17:32) in the arcade itself. Those were originally geared for the home market as it's a 75% (3:4) scale & was sold flat-packed for $300 US. It was a 2nd Gen cabinet that has been discontinued (no longer listed on the Arcade 1-Up site) for some time.
Hey i recognise those dogs on your shirt, cavalier king charles spaniel! Very cool
Bro, going to Japan would be amazing
That Gundam gunplay store would be great to go to for a friend of mine. That dragon quest themed Lawson's looks really cool. I would have died a happy person if I could go to that last store. Really cool places. Thank you for sharing.
I unironically love to go to the maid shops
I love the fact that it's 46-year-old woman still has the mind of a child
cant imagine how loud they sounds at there
Oh, I was curious about Denden Town, particularly shops - thanks for sharing! It's smaller than Akiba, but it seems they packed it full with all the essentials. xD And it sure looks way less crowded by comparison, not sure if the video was filmed recently, but it's around this time of the year that Akiba is just packed full with international tourists, right?
I was there one year ago. Miss Japan already !
The toy monkey at the end can be used as the monkey bomb from zombies in call of duty. I noticed the astro boy figure in one of the shelves and my dad growing up in Mexico watched that a lot, he liked it and loved how early anime like that was being dubbed in spanish.
Denden Town is super fun
I thought I just read the thumbnail "the best toy stories in Japan" for a moment😂
I loved zoids!
Saint Seiya! If I ever went to Japan, I'd try to get all the bronze saints (I say 'try', because in reality my budget would probably allow for only one hahaha)
we were there so fun..staed right there
Mr Eats
Ahh. I spend hours at that Taito Arcade playing Mobile Suit Gundam Arsenal Base. Also where I won like 3 lbs worth of mini jerky sticks. I think went to either that DQ Lawson's or the one in Tokyo.
Charmander being called charizard might be a fail, but the real disrespect is to walk past blue eyes (fair, its initial zone view), then past a triple blue eyes setup AND ONCE AGAIN in dino section ignore the semi-alternative/KTs final artstyle version of blue eyes (that is even a free to pose kit) all in the first couple of minutes of the video.
Oooohhhhh noice😮❤️🔥
My brother loved BB-guns and knifes. I think BB-guns where more popular in the 2000's.
@garryferrington811

1940's, actually. They were around for quite a long time. We had one. Every now and then newspapers would have a story about some kid who lost an eye. Seemed to happen pretty often.
Zoids was awesome
Those JoJo poker chips and race cars are currently at Family Mart Ichibankuiji. 400 yen is probably cheaper than attempting to win it at 800 yen a pull.
I haven't heard of Saint Seiya in such a long time. It never really took off in the US, but it was super popular in Brazil.
Oh yeah, Mandarake. I don't know how many dolls (BJDs) I bought from them over the years ... my bank account does not like Mandarake. 😅
Pokemon day! I like kamen rider more than any others
I'm American but I'm not a fan of our gun culture, but my friends and I certainly played with toy guns when I was growing up. Today though I would only be interested in getting toy/model guns from Space Battleship Yamato or Harlock.
Beatyful girl. And yes I am from Finland. HEIYEAH !
Sweet
are there any articulated doll figures, which do not only concern anime and manga characters?
Thank you so much! The Ultraman, and Saint Seiya figures were the highlights for me but the entire video was awesome!
Please do a livestream one day
It was Charmander. Not Charizard. Charizard is the evolution.
That was Gigantor (I forgot what he was called in Japan), the first mecha iirc. That was neat seeing it since it was like black and white still when it was made.

フラワーカップ DUMB question - but is it "Flower Cup" or "Flour Cup" - it is for a Darts event in Kagawa - where the wriggly chewy Udon Noodles are big. Makes sence it is Flour - wheat flour to make the noodles. Mrs Eats - you are my only hope! (Something different for the old Algo!)
Any Butler Cafe? Stupid silver slimes! The tin robot toys are gorgeous!
When i was in Japan and go into a store like this its hard to came out and dont buy things it the best place in the world JAPAN
So which is better, Osaka or Tokyo, and how long does it take to go to osaka
GREAT VIDEO! I have 2 questions since i will come to Osaka with my 6 years old boy in August. 1. what time normally toy shops closed in den den town osaka? I might go after my son goes to bed 2. is it okay to explore shops with 6 years old kid in den den town? I am afraid some shops have restriction (due to pornography) thank you so much
Free fried chicken?? *heads over to that machine right away* (I wish) 😏
yeah den den town rules
15:35 Kishidan has a video game? :/
ここは天国だろう Koko wa tengokudarou
Charmander is now charizard
In America we have our real guns yeah but we also love movie replicas.
❤
I bet if you built a Gundam and record or stream it you'd get a ton of views.

BB guns and air soft guns are considered children's toys here in America. You do have to be 18+ to buy them, though. Many adults do enjoy them. I have quite a few myself, and I'm 33. They make great costume props because they look more realistic than cap guns and actual toy guns that don't shoot projectiles or make the noise and smoke that cap guns do. My state, Massachusetts, has strict gun regulations. I'm not sure if that plays a part in a difference in popularity. I doubt it, though, as New Hampshire, our neighboring state, only follows our few federal regulations for owning a firearm and BBs and Air soft are fairly popular there as well. I think people use them for target practice at their homes. It's easier and safer than using your real gun when not at a shooting range. I should add that a lot of teens have air soft guns rather than BB guns, as air soft are safer than BBs. I have some of both types. My BB guns are strong enough to shatter the plastic BBs that are meant to be used with air soft guns. Metal BBs are better for actual BB guns. Adults tend to have proper BB guns more than kids will because you can still cause permanent damage very easily with them. My friend's brother shot her point blank with his when they were kids and she has a scar from it. Another friend of mine killed a chipmunk with a BB gun. Thus, they are, as time passes, being considered toys less and less.

Just have real guns like everyone else.
The cameraman knows 100X more about the subject than she does.
In the US, the guns would be real. Who needs toys? I was surprised to glimpse Felix the Cat.
"These are the toys that kids grew up with a long time ago." Zooms in on Cock Fighting! 😂
I'm from America, and I might want a model gun if it has a fantasy or a futuristic design, but not one that looks like a real gun because what would be the point? I could just get a real gun.
Do they sell any Godzilla figures? I love Godzilla.
Looking at these people on the street I got curious, don't girls in Japan feel cold from the waist down?
I shouldn't be surprised, but why are Japanese toys so much better than USA toys.
Japan is the best country in the world
What about girly girl toys? I just watched a video about why Barbie isn't as popular in Japan as it is here 🇺🇸 & the Mattel guy said Japanese patents want their children to learn through play. I can see how that's true from the multitude of buildable toys in this video; but what about girls? Is the girl toy isle all pink like it is here? Do they get to build their dolls?
But do they have ninja turtles?

I was in Akihabara yesterday and visited every shop recommended by basically every YT channel excluding ofc things like Super Potato tourist trap. I was not impressed. All that was there incl. “rare” items you could find on amazon japan if not on ebay, sure, it’s slightly cheaper but customs fees is the issue. Otherwise a lot of generic things. Shops totally overcrowded, mainly 25-35 year old tourists acting like 12 year old childish kids. The items I look for are sold on ebay and not even one store had it.
