    I read descriptions- I usually hate when KZreadrs get new editors bc they tend to make it cheesy. The editing on this video however really just makes it so much better. I love how it isn't annoying and it zooms in on the current talking points, while still adding funny little "animations" for side points. Anyways second channel don't care 💅

    16:56 To be fair our system is literally set up to where only 2 parties can actually dominate. The electoral college specifies that a presidental candidate needs 50% +1 electoral votes to be president or else congress picks. With the 2 party system we have, even if no candidate makes it to that majority, whoever has the majority in congress will guarantee that their party will win. The most clear case of this is in the election of 1824. Where Jackson did have the popular and electoral vote plurality, but lost because he didn't get the majority. Congress picked John Q. Adams because his party was in control. I would love a 3rd party to have an actual chance of being president, but it's not going to happen until one of the major parties commits political suicide.

    Florida is the new Rome. Think about it... 1. Naples, FL and Naples in Italy are both located in the southwestern parts of their respective peninsulas. 2. Ron DeSantis is of Italian descent and acts like an absolute ruler 3. Rome has seven famous hills. Tallahassee is known as the City of the Seven Hills 4. Venice, by the Po delta, faced Visigoth aggression, while Jacksonville located in the northern part of its respective peninsula by the mouth of the St Johns River, faced Union aggression 5. Like how the Roman Empire had a long extensive coastline along the Mediterranean, Florida once had even more coastline thanks to a longer panhandle. Also, Fur _reFurs_ to the Fur people of western Sudan who live in Darfur. Darfur in Arabic means "land of the Fur".

    "Why is New York in Delaware?" I'm assuming they confused New York with Newark, DE. Those who travel by train or plane sometimes confuses New York with Newark, NJ across the river...especially Newark Penn Station with New York Penn Station where they accidentally get off at Newark thinking it's New York (doesn't help that Newark Penn is the station before NY Penn). Also a thicc Libya at 2:40 sounds like a Gaddafi wet dream...though I love the fact at 2:48 that NJ has been split between NY and Delaware on top of DE now having eastern PA, MD, and the whole of Delmarva while NY is now just the city and its suburbs...as it should be. A powerhouse.

  • @jazzii4460

    @jazzii4460

    Not sure if you knew this, but I think they made Libya so THICC because historically Libya was a much larger geographic range. The same is said with Sudan, Guinea, "Abyssinia," and Egypt- they all used to be large geographic or cultural zones until around the 1900s when they became much more commonly associated with much smaller colonies and later countries.

    The Principality of Roselawn, located between Illinois and Indiana in the Holy Roman Empire of America, should be interesting since the community of Roselawn, Indiana is most known for having two nudist colonies.

    It is correct that you can only vote for the two major parties. But if the US would enact a system where you can vote for several people and rank them, it would completely fix this. As soon as your top rank gets eliminated from contention, your vote switches to your second rank and we figure it all out again until only one remains. There’s a name for this system but it eludes me right now.

    I wish the multi-party system could work for America but the way it is set up means that one party needs to get the majority or else it goes to the House of Representatives with each state getting one vote. A tied electoral college election for example happened in 1800 with the House tying I believe it was 36 times before choosing Jefferson instead of Burr. Also, I do most of the time read the descriptionS for sources but often they are not cited :(

    no one likes having two parties, its a result of the system we have. I would love to vote for a progressive candidate, but if all the progressives vote for the progressive candidate, then its a foregone conclusion that the conservative candidate wins (since the liberal votes are split between two candidates, called the "spoiler effect")

    The system doesn’t work with more than 2 parties because in practice with our voting system, when people vote for who they really want, the other party that the majourity don’t like ends up winning.
