This is the most fun I have had with Halo in a long time. It's so fun to play this

Was nice running into you! i hope they add a "force default controls" in forge, playing with custom binds on controller is broken and I really wanna make a forge map. Also, I love how we both spawned into that lava pit.

I think the Gears of War mod uses Judgement as it's base, as the Markza and HUD are the same as in Judgement.

It’s a lot like carto where you host your own servers, currently it’s mostly just social / casual but when it was around the first time there usually was a “ranked” server. Afaik there is no theater or spectator modes tho

This is what we could have gotten 10+ years ago if Halo 3 came to PC, with a custom edition like Halo CE... but you know, console exclusives...

just join the HB servers it auto downloads them. Otherwise thru their discord they have some links if you want to download specific stuff separately

@@ArrrashLive I don't think so either, proceed at your own risk type situation. Although it DOES tell you the required mod before you proceed, so you could always find that mod on a website you trust and download it yourself separately if you don't trust the server auto-download. I just did auto-download for Reach Anniversary because I'm lazy.

They just updated on Friday!

Ive been saying this for a while, but the time and effort that went into developing mod tools AND the server browser makes it feel like they got 90% of the way to this experience and then just dropped it. Add modded servers, add auto downloading. Let the community take it from there. As great as steam workshop is, this streamlines it so much better. Why not both?

only thing i dont like about eldwrito is that is has that old feeling of what was the original halo online with the H4 weapon models. i used yo have the mod when eldwrito launched that msde everything H3 but they werent as good as the ones MCC gives you since obviously those models are literally from H3. Also dont like the HUD icons. just picky things but it has so much MCC needs. i dont understand why they didn't make mods download when trying to join servers. so silly. these devs need to just go play old valve games for a month and take notes. like fuck UT99 and UT2004 downloaded what you needed upon joining too.

Better than Halo 3 and MCC and Infinite tbh

I was waiting for MCC to add the modded server browser. It was the only thing I wanted so MCC could finally surpass Halo Custom Edition. They said they would do it and then they suddenly fucked off and said they were done working on MCC despite not delivering everything they promised. Now MCC is forever worse than Custom Edition. Glad we can experience what could have been with Eldewrito, but I don't believe this will catch on and will end up dying really quickly.

343 never said they were done working on MCC, the problem is that Infinite was such a shit show that the MCC team was forcibly dragged in to help stabilize it and it still hasn't been stabilized yet.

@@megaman37456 Hmm, right you are. They never officially said they were done. Finished the fight, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, 11/2014 - 07/2023 was what they sent the devs who worked on MCC which the end date marked the last big update. So true they did never officially came out and said they were done, but unfortunately haven't clarified otherwise either. They could come back but I'm certainly not optimistic about it.

@@Zero118 They'll come back as soon as Infinite is discontinued fully and left in the trash can where it belongs. As for that finish the fight thing, I asked about that on the Halo Discord and several moderators, keep in mind these are the same people who were moderators for the Halo Waypoint site before it shut down, said there was no weight behind that post. I'd argue someone who is hired by 343 to be in the know of what's going on with the games development cycle would be more trustworthy than a random tweet, but that's just me. As for them coming back, they will. As soon as they need a mega PR boost again they'll go back to MCC while the other team works on the newer entry. Although with the revival of El Dewrito, let's be honest, 343's gonna start SWEATING to bring players back. It just sucks that I'm the ONLY person in my friends group with a PC good enough to run El Dewrito.

Only thing I don’t like is why do they use the halo 4 weapon designs they’re terrible
