So, one question if your a Philippino, is it true if you treat a Philippino food or drink after they drink & eat, they burp "OUTLOUD", to show appreciation? Because I was in Manila and took a cab & asked the cab driver if he would like a bottle of soda, so I asked him to stop by the nearest market, picked up a few things & handed the cab driver a bottle of soda, so as he drove off, he just opened it, and just guzzled it all down in one gulp, then just threw the empty bottle out the window, in a few seconds he had "BURPED SO LOUDLY IT WAS SO GROSS", but I don't think he even said "Thank you"!

Everytime i saw Simon's reaction when a Filipino singers audition, it seems to me that he's finding a minute detail of the song that will justifies his action for not letting them to become champions or giving appreciations of their laudable performance, like what he did to Marcelito Pomoy wherein one of the judges the bald one is ready to press the golden button and of course with the audience clamor, but to no avail, it wasn't, so as long as Simon is in the house and racism works, Filipinos have no chance.

I beg to disagree, madam, with that part of your statement that they are being bullied because they are brown and poor. You're generalizing. You only see the lives of the poor. Have you been to the Philippines and gone to beautiful and plush villages? In rich countries, there are also homeless. If only I could tour you and bring you to places of beautiful and fancy houses in the Philippines, you wouldn't think ill about the Philippines. The difference lies with the big gap between the rich and the poor. There are more middle/middle-upper class than poor. And we're not bullied by the Chinese living in the Philippines. Their elders came to this country as refugees and poor but they were industrious and hardworking and their lives changed. Literacy rate is very very high. Even the poor could go to school because state colleges and universities are for free education. Only the moneyed could afford private expensive schools, and there are more of them than the poor ones. As to beauty, there are more Filipino beauty queens holding international beauty titles compared to other countries. To my gauge, the Philippines is not poor. I, myself, is not poor.

Recently I taught in an Asian country having many Filipino colleaques just to know that most of them are so talented in singing. What more our students can play string intruments very well. It contributes to the school fame and popular among the schools in that country.Now many of them left, going back to their country, and I too have already retired from working in that country but still teaching in my own country yet the beautiful moments working together and teaching the Filipino students is still well reminisced. I truly missed them all. Hope to see them again in future.

Wow! I've never seen a true singer that can sing both parts. Usually it's ok. This was amazing. I have chills.

We were branded as Flip before in USA. A man provocatively made a comment towards me by saying , " Hey flip." I responded , " thank you. You're right. We are Fun, Loving, Intelligent, people."

Just get the extortionate prices sorted in the supermarket then it will be the perfect place to live ...420 pesos for a kilo of white onions.120 peso for a kilo of potatoes ..etc etc disgusting..prices higher than western countries but Filipino wages 10x less ...something's not right ..

When I was in the Philippines during the 70's all the bars had live bands and they were great, so much talent there.

I love the Philippines. Just sad about the division between rich and poor. Over the year, the rich are getting richer and and the poor are getting poorer. Thanks to those who made it abroad specially in America. They help their families ( at least) to get the kids educated and help the economy. I believe if people have conscience, there's lot of potential!!! Im praying for them😢
