you are right,they were colored, and they had different kinds of weapons in thier hand, but most weapons rotted after thousand years. there is a museum besides the army pit. left weapons, some warriors are still colorful, other items,and the most famous carriage in chinese history are showed there, i don't know why this guy didn't go to the museum.

I visited Xian back in 2009. The city was very busy even then but the Tarracota musuem was somewhat quiet. I see the musuem is chocobloc now.
