I was lucky to meet John Romita Sr. and have a few books signed. He told me a story about him and Stan Lee. What a great comic legend. He will be greatly missed.

John Romita Sr. was the reason why I fell in love with comic books. A friend of mine in high school had a copy of ASM #50 and brought it in to Spanish class. He was obsessed with Spiderman. When I saw the cover and the incredible art, I wanted to draw just like him. With his passing on June 14, Marvel lost one of its true captains. There'll never be another one like him. In my estimation, he was "the" Spiderman artist.

My copy of Amazing Spiderman 365 is signed by him, and I treasure it!

Biggest comic regret was never getting to meet the great John Romita Sr. A tremendous artist and a tremendous human being. Goodspeed Mr. Romita!

I met John Romita Sr. at a comicon in New York long before anyone was doing cosplay or CGC. He was sitting at a table virtually alone. I went to a dealer on the floor, asked if he had an ASM #50 and he did. I bought it for a whopping $45 dollars! I walked over to the table, said hello and asked him if he would sign a book. He said sure. I took out the book, told him my childhood letter to the editor was in it and I showed him my letter and my driver's license. He gave me a huge smile and said he loved stories like mine. He signed the book by my letter and at the bottom of the splash page (not on the cover). We chatted for a couple of minutes and I told him how much I liked his run on ASM and DD and some of the Captain America stories. He was open and friendly. I shook his hand, thanked him for signing and went on my way. I have the book to this day and I cherish it. RIP John Romita Sr. Best to all.

Sad news to here about the the passing of John Romita SR. He was my all-time favorite Spider-Man artist. He also drew so many many iconic covers for many different Marver titles!

Totally agree with Russ. If you're going to get a book signed, it'll mean more to you if you get to meet the creator instead of just sending it in to get a mass signature. Glad Russ is back and healthy!

As I'm based in the Uk I have little chance of getting across to a con and get a signing in person so therefore I'm happy paying the cost in the after market. If I was US based then I would definitely look to get sigs done in person when able to do so.

That new mutants 87 seems undervalued. Compared to new mutants 198 a way later character comics. First cable is HUGE. historic and older But yeah more demand for Deadpool for sure. But cable also was huge

If you spec Void Rivals 1, you should also spec Transformers #11 , since that is the first full appearance of Jetfire, a decepticon scientist who converts to being an autobot!

I personally love the experience of meeting people to get sign. I don’t like CGCing anything because you can’t relive the experience. I might be alone on this one but CGC comics are a waste unless you’re playing to sell it which is a waste of a signature anyways.

I haven't sent anything in for cgc signings....yet. I would still rather have the meeting experience still

I love my signature books. However, if so many are signed they seem a little less special for after making sails. CGC has really gone in on a lot of books signed !

Does CGC make mistakes when grading/labeling the right comic. I bought what I thought to be a 6.5 Wolverine Limited series newsstand but the grading label says Wolverine 1 11/88 First Wolverine as patch which I don’t think is the limited series one I have a barcode and everything looked it up on CGC and this label don’t match this comic

Please help a brother out if I got scammed I got scammed but the rest of the limited series I got from the same buy were raw and what I could tell originals from 1982

I am not a fan of any SS books. Raw or slabbed is totally cool but no signatures IMO is preferred

Comic books are going back to pre 2019 levels. Some are predicting they might go lower. People are going to lose their shirts on their purchases. Even big keys are down 50% with no sight of a turn around anytime in the next few years. Endless money printing/ spending and borrowing has put too many in bad positions with money. Not looking good guys.

That flash movie was a mess

Enjoyed "The Flash" ....did it have moments where the CGI was kinda wonky? Yes honestly....did Ezra seem at times to be overacting...in my opinion yes....but i still found it to be a fun film....the actress playing supergirl was great

Id feel sick if my money went to a production company that basically says "It's okay to groom,mentally abuse, and physically assult women as long as you are making us money." Plus its not lile the film is getting rave reviews anyways. Dont know why we gotta "CLICK OFF THIS VIDEO AND GO SEE IT" Kinda scummy of you guys tbh
