I’m thinking of building Beidou for dendro she seems like she would be really good and fun for it

I genuinely surprise how great Dendro traveler is. the CD for skill is waaay lot better than the Electro traveler, making them really good at apllying dendro status to enemy. Now my favorite team is Dendro Lumine, Beidou, Xingqiu, and one other hydro/electro. Burning actually not giving much benefit in exploration and battle, unless you want the specific drop from the Shrooms kin. and just for a note, I haven't level up traveler's dendro talents yet, but it still really fun using this team

I'm so glad MHY made dendro reactions almost like a buff to underplayed/underwhelming but well-liked characters like Keqing, Thoma, Kuki, Yae and others, and dendro reactions becoming a direct buff to electro! It's been something the community have been asking for months, since almost the beginning of the game electro has been known as the "weakest" element, but now dendro has really opened up so many more combinations and possibilities! And MHY was able to solve this problem without altering any of the characters' original kits, instead it almost seems natural as if the characters themselves were made with dendro reactions in mind. Honestly props to MHY combat designers!

And the best part is that it hasn't killed the old meta and off-meta. National team still bops, OverVape still blows stuff up, the mono-elements still have their place. The only thing I think the game needs now is a 5* Geo character that can spook us on any banner, since that's the only element that doesn't exist among the Standard 5*s starting in 3.1.

@Zhubai thoma is one of the best supports to make burgeons because his shield also blocks the collateral damage it makes to you that also applies to xiangling except for the shield part. Keqing is explained in the video, aggravate is basically melt or vape for electro but super consistent since quickening stays for a long time even when aggravate happens it stays until the dendro element wears off.

@Zhubai not sure Yae were because of how long she's been in development, maybe they added the EM passive later because of that but Kuki DEFINITELY was made for this, her kit is extremely overwhelming without Dendro and actually quite nice for QuickBloom teams

@@mitsuki1388 It goes with the conspiracy theory. She was a hype carry at first, where her turret (she always had a turret) auto attacked with her and Shimenawa was her artifact set. Then, since she was going to be released so much later, she was changed to get the mobile sub dps kit to function with dendro a lot.

Dendro Traveler became the most relevant version of him so far, and I prefer him over Collei.. however, will wait till Alhaitham, Baizhu or Kusanali comes out :))

yeah no shit. when your only.choices are a 5 star gacha or a free unit that has a clearly inferior kit(collei), dendro mc becomes the best by default.

The profecy came true. The "weak" electro characters became stronger with dendro, since they were just ahead of their time.

I beleive Dendro was actually done with them in mind, not the other way around. That's why Dendro doesn't buff Raiden as much, since she's already meta.

@@Zerocyxone9 nah Raiden hypercarry is still the best since agrivate benefits low dmg fast hitting characters because agrivate isn't a multiplier like vape and melt that does 1.5x and 2x dmg for pyro dmg it's additive dmg so let's say keqing does 100 per final slash with agrivate she would do 1100 that's would be a 11x dmg for her but with and Raiden she does 1000 per burst but with agrivate it would do 2000 and that would be only 2x the dmg

Okay but when I picked my Sumeru exploration team, I went with Kazuha as usual because he's so good for mobility I feel crippled without him, Zhongli because I have no Kokomi yet and he keeps me alive, dendro Traveler for the puzzles, and then I added Fischl just for quick reactions. Well, the team SLAPS. Even though Lumine doesn't have a full dendro set or a goblet yet, even though my Fischl is just c1, their synergy is pretty damn good. Then add Kazuha being Kazuha and Zhongli's shred, and everything dies. Even more fun when there's water nearby or a hydro enemy, Kazuha's E picks up hydro and adds bloom to the mix

@@Chi-Chi-Fy It's not gonna be good in every aspect, but only one. Anemo mc for CC, Geo for defense, Electro for energy, Dendro for amplifying dmg. And once the traveler gets all elements they become broken xD

The thing that I enjoy the most is that with the introduction Dendro every Character became viable.

Back when Kuki released, I knew instantly she was built for synergy for Dendro, and the devs had to massively scale back everything else. It confirmed that Dendro was how they planned to buff Electro lol

@@scyi.3665 She doesn't but since C6 makes Oz attack at the same pace as your active character (basically doing 2 hits for one strike), Fischl's C6 greatly helps.

Electro was always designed as a damage dealing element but without a reaction to compare to melt and vaporize it was lacking, in a lot of ways quicken is better than melt and vaporize because u slap dendro and electro on one target and just crank as many reactions as u can, there isn’t any need to make sure the right character is triggering it so it’s easier to use. I haven’t been playing for very long but design choices like how dendro is has completely sucked me in, also exploration but that’s unrelated

@@musicdz8135 C1 lets Kokomi summon a fish that deal 30% of her max HP as DMG at the end of every normal attack combo while in burst mode. This basically helps compensate for any lost DPS if you for example are doing this to heal up your main DPS. It's not essential, and not as good as the C6 effect, but it might help from time to time.

Nahida must be an EM buffer even better than Kazuha, and apply fucktons of Dendro off-field to buff both Burning, Bloom and Quicken. Rumors is that she will invoke a green smoke around her or something, so kinda like a permanent Raiden's E. I want her burst to be around her possession powers, by locking enemies on place, similar to Freeze or Zhongli's Burst, but Dendro-Version. It would be great for Burning and Burgeon Reactions, as Freezing enemies will just mess with reactions.

It's nice to see my Kequeen is finally getting some sort of buff.

I always felt that the "these units are bad" was short sighted because I felt Hoyo was playing the long game and that dendro would be the missing piece of the puzzle. Very glad my intuition was right. Now if I could only lose a 50 50 to Keqing as I still don't have her after a year and a half with this game (and why I refused to skip Tighnari)

@@far4955 I already have a cool elemental reaction in my mind for Abyss and Dendro. Wither/Decay. I don't know what it should do though. Another cool one would be for Hydro and Abyss which is pollute.

I think the dendro is kinda like a final destination for elemental reaction, like it introduce all of the 7 elements and it give every element out there a team comp with meta level of dmg

I love that Dendro being introduced gave such massive versatility to the element of the prior area (Inazuma/Electro) and the upcoming area (Fontaine/Hydro). Introducing a new element has revived gameplay, also seeing more monsters in more areas feels so much more like a game than Mondstadt's 4 monsters every 100km LOL

As someone who mains both Yae Miko and Fischl, Dendro has been an absolute game changer. It is just so amazing how fast enemies get defeated now and the damage numbers that Yae's electro totems can cause.

I’m so happy that thanks to dendro, electro can now do crazy damage like vaporize teams. I especially appreciate hyperbloom. I’ve got a Shinobu built with EM, and she’s consistently dealing 22k hyperbloom. It’s an insane reaction overall

I don’t have shinobu on my main since she doesn’t refuses to come our, so I used a 900 em raiden build. With eergy on collei and zl to shred resistance, I managed to hit 30k per hyperbloom

honestly i'm so happy to see kokomi becoming more and more popular every update, i still remember when people were calling her kit bad. she's not a must pull, but she's definitely an amazing healer who works well in freeze and bloom teams. i don't think i've ever died with her in my team! i'm definitely planning on using her with nilou in a bloom team :)

I've had traveler in my party since Day 1 (Update 1.2, AR 55) and I'm so happy to see everyone is starting to give him love. Even if his anemo and electro is lackluster, geo is a fun element to play in my opinion. I'm going to be sticking with dendro for now but I will transition in between.

7:26, I remember when someone said Anemo characters will not be an OP element again cause It can't react with Dendro. But reality is the opposite, Anemo turn out to be more OP element as Dendro post-release.

as a kokomi since her 1st release, I approved this. kokomi is a very versatile unit, slow but sure, she keeps getting better and better each update.

Kokomi Hyperbloom + Baal also amazing. you must try it if u have both of them

I've seen some theory crafters saying to skip 3.x - 3.x (i don't remember the exact ones) patches if you don't have kokomi and I can see why cause she's used on most of the dendro related teams right now and probably future teams as well. So that'll make her a must have for dendro.

I was bummed I lost the 50/50 on Yelan’s banner to Keqing instead of Diluc on my alt but now I’m so glad I got Keqing instead. I was worried abt not having a good DPS but now with dendro she can compete. Tbh I thought she had a fun playstyle but for my alt numbers are more important to me. Now I get both.

I'm so happy that dendro skyrocketed a lot of character's viability (and also made already good characters even more cracked lMAO) i'm glad dendro reactions are well designed, and i'm super looking forward to more dendro characters to add to the pile of teams to play with

please do make a follow up video possibly going more in depth. maybe talking about specific builds more or what to look out for or maybe some more in depth stuff about game mechanics. Im relatively new and some things arent 100% clear but I get the base concept. I really liked this video though, it opened my eyes to a few things I didnt know about

Bloom/hyperbloom have been my favorite reaction recently, i already love using taser kokomi with raiden but now you can just put traveler's burst, kokomi's jelly and raiden e and watch everything die without moving a finger

Tbh, I was expecting traveller to be good, cause he/she kinda needs to be. Everyone was new with Anemo so it was whatever and by the time you got geo/electro then chances are you had another character you like for those slots anyway so it didn’t matter much. But dendro is new. Everyone wants to play with it right away but couldn’t really pre-farm materials for the new characters so it makes far more sense to just make traveller be good.

Thundering fury and alot of the old artifacts now have boxes in the alchemy table

A little tip for anyone who wants to play Yae. Her CA has no ICD, so basically it can always proc aggravate and it hits twice which is pretty neat. You might have to jump cancel and I know that might not be for everyone.

@@nyome5086 A miniscule tip for anybody who desires to use the character Yae Miko from hit video game Genshin Impact. The character’s charged form of her normal attacks does not have Internal Cool Down, so for summarizing - the charged offense can, without fail, cause the “Aggravate” reaction with the Dendro element in Genshin Impact, and the strike can collide with the enemies approximately two times. i tried lisa and collei together and they did pretty decent for their levels, their ults can both work pretty well together

Thoma, while being pretty eh, is still very viable in certain team comps, biggest one being with hu tao. However i’m very curious to see what could be made of him with dendro!

Honestly, this update gave me a reason to finally invest in my traveler, which was mainly gathering dust as soon as I've got more units. And now I'm convinced that Mihoyo was carefully planning characters and their skills to account for dendro release ever since 2.5 if not even earlier.

I find Yae really good for world exploration now, she deals a lot of damage with a dendro support, and she applies crazy tons of electro damage. It's so easy to chop off a bunch of native sumeru vegetation with her

I've been a Keqing main since day one. She was one of my earliest pulls and Collei has been a game changer in terms of my damage output with her. Insane damage now and I love it! Hoping I pull Kokomi in her upcoming banner to have a sick hyperbloom team.

you should make a video talking about team comps and how to build the characters regarding the new dendro reactions

And this is why I love Genshin. They always find ways to create new team comps w/o making older chars irrelevant. In fact, they even bring them back! Like Albedo with the new Husk set and Cinnabar Spindle, Hydro chars with the new Hydro resonance etc. Meanwhile other games just powercreep their chars in the next 6 mths. Genshin doesn't do that because HYV knows they have more to offer. I personally would rather whale on chars that are more expensive but stay relevant, than cheaper chars that just get benched a few mths ltr. Imagine maxing Claudia just to bench her a few mths later for Saki like in ToF.

Yeah, Genshin does some good job with making old characters relevant but the other HYV game Honkai Impact just loves to powercreep old characters and constantly does that, which is super strange.

@@x_Psyduck_x I think they just put more effort into Genshin to reach a broader audience. Honkai is pretty much targeted toward weebs exclusively which is fine but it's a narrow audience and doesn't require as much thought since even if people didn't like the gameplay, a lot of their fans would still keep coming for the waifus.

I’m so glad to see both Lisa and Keqing have the spotlight now, also fun note hyperbloom with Lisa is super fun if you use Traveler (Dendro), Kazuha (Or Sucrose or even Venti) and Kokomi (or any other Hydro aoe character like Mona and Ayato) Lisa’s elemental burst hits the blooms seeds automatically.

Traveler dendro and kokomi/lisa/wolf boy sounds nice. Add in chuyun with a favonius to keep the floor icy.. or ninja anmemo swirls.... Amd whhheeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

What I like about dendro is that you don't need Bennett or Xiangling for them and you can run these meta units on the other side of the abyss.

I've been telling people over and over to not sleep on Hakushin Ring and use it on Sucrose to support Yae Miko DPS. The meta really does lack perspective on the matter!

I literally have a physical build on my traveller and all lvl 1 talents and they actually do so well and the dendro dmg surprised me. Honestly amazing

Ah, well, I've been using keqing and geo traveler from the get go, so the additional dendro reactions is just icing on the cake 😄

I’m so happy that I finally have a reason to build traveler. Although I plan on pulling for Alhaitham, I’m sure she’ll still be incredibly useful and maybe I’ll even be able to use them together (if I pull him that is). It’s a shame though that Collei isn’t that great.

@@supercyan6360 No but you can get it from Dendro traveler, also if you equip the new artifact set he can reduce Dendro res but that would be a waste of potential.

And remember, Kokomi banner is soon if you dont have her. C0 Is really good and not need more. With Zhongli, you are just Unkillable, but not invincible, Fall damage exist xD

I have been running Collei, Kokomi, Raiden and Kazuha for exploration in Sumeru. It doing great.

Dendro traveller is OP. I have been using him at C0 talent lvl 1,1,1 and the moment you use bloom with his ult and use pyro next, all enemies fall like leaves.

Dendro Traveller is kinda OP now, imagine when the Dendro Archon is released 💀

According to leaks, she is an Excellent Dendro Applicator. With that small info we already knew what will gonna happened. And if I'm not mistaken she is also a Catalyst meaning, her attacks is dendro and not physical. Catalyst are known for being good for reaction.

We should all learn

As someone whose favorite character is the Traveler, I'm so glad they have an element that's fun to play! I don't care too much about meta, but Anemo's burst carried enemies away or missed, Geo's skill would lift enemies and get in the way, Electro's skill cooldown was horrible in combination with the high burst cost... Dendro traveler is actually fun! I do find the skill's aim leaves a lot to be desired (which is probably because their height is lower when compared to Kaeya, who has a similar animation) but it's been so fun being excited to build them again!

So simple and detailed video, it's now going to help to start working wid softsoft!!

It would be silly not to build Dendro traveler at the moment. Even if its somewhat inevitable that they will be powercrept, it won't be anytime soon. We already know that none of the new characters in 3.1 are going to be Dendro.

Im pleased to know that my kokomi works pretty well with dendro reactions I'm using her with Tighnari and Yea Miko and they are literally Insane team comp

kokomi and dendro traveler is like when a green lantern and a blue lantern link up.

It's funny before i saw this I built a comp out of these chars on my own cause I was looking at how their talents work with dendro reactions. Right now I have yae miko as main dps and apply electro along with Kokomi, Fischl, and dendro traveler
