It's about $70 more than expected. Asus discounted the original one quite often. It's March, these things will be $169 in no time, maybe $129 by BF.

Love the review ! I've been looking for a pair of wireless earbuds for my Ally. I loved how you covered the delay which has been my top concern in picking a pair to go with. Especially with the prob of there only bring one USB-C port like you mentioned. I just might have to go with a wired pair 😪

Got mine today & man you were dead on with that EQ! I threw on some Beanie Man & I kept bouncing back & forth between the Hip Hop preset & your EQ! That Dirac is insane! Glad I picked these up.

Great review. Does this still have gaming mode on BT? This should have been what the first version was.

Got mine yesterday. They're awesome! Even better than my steelseries arctis pro. Sound Quality is very decent. No lags noticeable for games in PC and Mobile via 2.4GHz Battery life, did not even need to worry about it dying on me ingame.

What about Bluetooth lag?

The Sony Inzone Earbuds are solid gaming earbuds. According to RTINGS it's 30ms latency, which is a decently acceptable value in regards for competitive use. Hopefully you give those earbuds a shot and can possibly provide a comparison

I currently have the soundcore p10vr and they were 55$ on amazon. I love them. I wonder how they compare. I know that those have a few more features than the soundcore but a substantial price difference.

How are these against headset like the stealth pro? In terms of audio and imaging? And what about the Sony inzone buds?

Alright so I just got these in for myself used them for about and hour or two. Used them on my iPhone and pc and they’re great! I had zero issues with latency and they sound great. I was using the usb C dongle also.

I wish companies like Asus would make these types of gaming buds without the silicon tips. I would like to see another version without the rubber tips and more of a wrap around the ear style like the the PowerBeats Pro

This comment is on the Turtle Beach Stealth Pro headset. Something that no one has said is that you can turn on your Xbox with this headset. I don't about all of them but it dose work with my Xbox series X.

Do they provide directional sound? For games like cod where hearing footsteps is essential

i tried the older ones.. and the sound was fantastic.. but they really bothered my ears. and their odd shape made changing the ear tips impossible.. i had to return them.. i hope these are better with changing the tips

If you were spending your own $$ would you buy these or the Razer Hammerhead Pro Hypeseed?

I missed it, but what’s the delay on Bluetooth? Cause it’s tough to use dongle on ally when it has to be charged in all the time.

you shouldn't really be hearing any delay on videos on bluetooth, provided the app properly delays the playback so that video and audio is synced up. i can't think of any video playback phone app that doesn't do this.

i get mine tomorrow cant wait i want to try wireless gaming for the first time, right now I'm using IEM 7hz timeless with astro a40 amp and the sound is amazing lets see how these compare.

@@JaySushii i played warzone yesterday and for me the sound of my iem with amp sound way better and you could really notice the delay even with the dongle but for music and movies they work very well and i like the noise canceling

How is battery life on 2.4ghz? I have JBL quantum tws and it only lasts up to 2hr before I need to charge the buds.

How do these compare to the pulse earbuds and sony inzones?

Already use the old version and as ROG fans I have to buy the new one, maybe will go for white this time

It’s nice to see these actually show up in armoury crate on the Ally, the previous Bluetooth only version doesn’t and it sucks.

I don't mind the price. I just want the purchase link so I can get these already. I've been excited for these ever since they were announced. I own the original version, recently got the Explore. But I want the Speed Nova for multiple platforms.

So..... when it comes to FPS games like Apex Legends and Warzone, how well do these work? Looking to get rid of my headset, but I cannot find a single channel talking about footsteps etc. in FPS games. Why? Not sure, no one is willing to actually make videos on earbuds with dongles in FPS games. See them on all the pro's, all over on content creators... but not ONE VIDEO on which is best for FPS games? @The Techne, please make a video on this.

It'd be great if you would connect it to a regular windows machine and check discord call quality while playing games. I need to know how it performs like that.

They offer a range of new features, functions and improved sound tuning to the first gen but the first generation are still a solid offering and we offer then at $99 and on occasion promotion like they are currently. You have to assess whether you want the improvements in this model compared to the first gen.

How do they compare to Sonys?

Shame about the mic quality. That’s a real dealbreaker for me. Otherwise it seems like these would be a nice alternative for PS5 users that want a different sound signature than the explore buds. I bet some foam tips could fix the fitment.

I use the regular hammerheads, and really like them. But these are a fair bit better, dinner sound, and much more features. But also twice the price. I haven’t used the pro version.

No :-( I don’t get it. ROG whiffed hard. Cause that’s what ROG ally owners need. Unless the Bluetooth somehow removed any noticeable lag.

Yeah. They work on pc unless you expect to use them for gaming. Then you have to disable to microphone on them for them not to sound like you are gaming over an old telephone.

You can't hear audio from two devices at once

I have these. I'm not fond of them, 2 out of 5 stars. Would not recommend, given the price. Good points: Good battery life. Case has wireless charging. Okay points: Sounds quality is probably good. Disclaimer, I'm not an audiophile so I actually don't care. All I want is to simply hear enough sound that I can make out what's happening, especially when I'm in a noisy environment. In this regard, the maximum volume seems lower compared to my budget earbuds. Bad points: The speakers have an unusual, elongated shape. As far as I can tell, this is for no reason other than to be different for its own sake. In practice, this makes it unnecessarily difficult/impossible to use some 3rd-party earbud tips. Very bad points: Has various fancy features and automatic functionality. Automatic functions sound good in theory but often do more harm than good in practice unless they are implemented near perfectly. For example, maybe you scratch your ear or adjust the earbuds, and it'll often misinterpret this as you wanting to toggle noise cancelling or something. Maybe you take it out of your ear for a brief moment, and it'll often misinterpret this as you wanting to shut down, and if it shuts down, you may not be able to turn it on again, because these are also the most unreliable earbuds I've ever had. It might pair with your device, or it might not, or it might insist on repeatedly pairing with the wrong device against your will. But worry not, for if it doesn't work, just keep trying the exact same steps until it does; randomness is the keyword.

Because these can be better than wireless headphones for people who are sensitive to over the ear heat or wear glasses. Also you can plug them with any device since they have a usb dongle not only Bluetooth like the AirPods.

I bought them i think they are defective they are not working for me
