And I must say, he tastefully incorporated the sponsor. It truly compliments the process of what he's teaching and might be one of the best ad integrations I've seen in a video.

Manny is workin bro let em' cook up!
The "slim down" complaint. It's just subjective. Also, he's showing what you can do in the software. It doesn't mean "you" have to do it.
It's good to see the use of entry level gear and smaller aperture used for street portrait photography. Understanding composition and how to use natural light goes a long way. Thank you.
Your a legend Manny, have been watching you for years now and you still come up with great content. Love you bro 👍
It’s about time! The beard gang back in force! 💪
Some great tips. Also good to see some quality photos using the R8. Definitely an underrated camera.
Thanks for yet another great teaching video. I love the way you create anywhere.
Manny is back shooting outside! Make Manny Great Again! One of the most educational videos I've seen from you in a while. This was amazing.
Wow. A lot of hater comments. Could you all post some videos of your work. So we can see how much better it is than Mannys.
Great recommendation on using the PROPER FOCAL LENGTH in order to COMPRESS leading lines. I keep forgetting that and will try not to next time I'm shooting! Cheers.
One of the duties of a photographer is to know good places
I wasn’t expecting so much value out of this one video my dude. Thanks! Btw nice edit, pretty solid.
Really cool to see your editing step by step!
STUNNING!!
Always refreshing watching your videos , thanks for the amazing tips Manny.
I love shooting outdoors but I've never been the biggest fan of bringing a bunch of lights outdoors. It's amazing the great photos you can take when you focus what you DO have versus what you don't.

Same, I just wanna bring my camera and the lenses, carrying a tripod and other stuff etc just never been my thing. I was considering getting a hot shoe flash at least just in case but as I’ve never used one before, not sure what to look for in one.
@UrbaneVisions

@@Harvester88 Definitely invest in a good hot shoe flash. I've never used the Godox V100 (i think that's the model) but I've heard great things. As a Sony shooter, I used the HVL-60RM on a shot and really liked the results. It's a Sony flash that works well with it.
I think one of the most exciting part of doing portraits outside is to find interesting elements, textures, colors and use them to create a story. Good job Manny. ✌️
Spot on tips. I love it
Great Content Sir. Respect... Been watching you since 2019
Great job, Manny! I particularly liked your great explanations
fantastic video! I feel like this is my greatest struggle in and insecurity with my photography. This video had my mind going, thinking of ideas and locations to practice. Thank you for sharing these great tips.
i really found this video informative. Thanks man!
Many thanks for the video and tips👍
I thought this was a pretty cool video. He used the software to enhance his own work and it wasn’t overdone. All the edits were tasteful, even the “slimming” I’m seeing issues with in the comments was so subtle that if he didn’t tell you he used it, you probably wouldn’t know. Great video !
Awesome video and great advice
Always coming through with the gems !! 🙏🏾🔥
Great Video!!
Great Video. Thanks
Great work as always bro. I lost a lot of my equipment so I’m literally starting back using a 50 mm 1.8 lens and it takes amazing photos to be so cheap. Thanks again for the motivation
This is the content that made me adore you and your talent. Keep it coming Manny
Always love your photos Manny. Your portraits are the best I've seen. I'm not a fan of Luminar though. Some of the edits look like what the Google Pixel phones do. Artificial and over processed. Others may like this though. So I can understand there's a market for it.
Love Neo
Excellent video. Does Luminar read RAW's? Does it output 16 bit TIF? Is it standalone or called from within LR/PS? Does it effectively fully replace editing in LR/PS? Thanks!
Simple yet effective
Gracias Manuel, saludos desde Caguas Puerto Rico, no sabes cuánto he aprendido sobre fotografía gracias a tus videos.
Your edits are top notch, you have great skills!
Very creative with the ad ima have to try this 😅
Finally Manny back
Thank you!
Wow, you make that R8 and nifty 50 SING! Some of the best images I've seen here in a while!
These are the kind of videos that attracted me to your channel
Bruh - how did I not notice how close to 1M you're getting! Love the vids even if I don't shoot any longer.
that noonday lighting was a real relatable obstacle to deal with
Dope shoot with a budget kit 💪🏽
Canon R8 is a banger portrait camera. Paired with the nifty fifty I call it the pocket rocket 🚀
Thanks
I love how the model starts looking for symmetry when he starts explaining, 🤣
She is very supportive.

I didn’t like that you slimmed her down. She looks perfect in her natural state.❤

Maybe he slimmed her down due to distortion from the lens causing her to look differently than she does naturally. I don't know. I'm just saying, I know lenses can have that effect .
@dominicpascal5512

@@TwoTimesRmedia he's using a 50mm lens, there is no distorsion. the reason he does it is to show off the feature of the sponsor's software, not because it was necessary. leaves a sour taste IMHO
When shooting models, it is always about styling... composition is subjective. Break the rules, break the rules, break the rules! Post prod is the least important aspect of a photoshoot. It is the story, the concept, the mood board...
better videos like this than videos reviewing expensive equipment.
Good video. When we gonna start seeing you at some photo conferences?
Well 👍 done
Holy crap it's all ads
Thanks friends
Nice nice
Oh, wow, R8 and 50mm 1.8
Next time you should make a video taking photos with a kit lens such as Sony 28-60mm. It would be interesting to see a pro using a basic lens.
I feel this is more of a budget gear shoot, I mean an R8 and nifty 50, but getting back to portrait photography... probably better to show off composition in camera with available lighting...but had to wait to see the POST technique to see this... using the sponsor instead of in camera. You Nailed the time of day issue, but a good reflector instead of lights could have been a great addition.
What f4 lens did you switch to? Was it a 24-70 f4?
do you have a video on cropping portraits?
Would you say if it’s an upgrade or downgrade if I traded my Canon 5D M4 for a Sony a7r iiia?
I thought the photo underneath the bridge should have been at a different aperture; you don't always have to obliterate the background to get a decent photo. some for context from the background would have been nice IMHO.
Why didn't you just use a nd filter to help mitigate the harsh light? You would still be able to have a low iso and have great quality in harsh times of the day.
For the pillars what lens would you have used?
What program are u using with Ai? Never seen that before one had to use photoshop and put in like alot of effort to do that so it looked good.
I literally just got stood up by a model & I'm so frustrated This video made me calm down 😩
great
What’s the bag Manny is using here? Anyone Know?
What focal length would have used for the column shot?
❤
love video he better
What lens would you have used to compress the pillars?
@UrbaneVisions

My guess is an 85mm 1.4 but I wonder what he'll say too 😅

Well he said f4 zoom, so I'm guessing it was the RF 24-105 f4. He showed it briefly and it looked like that lens.
Nice work Manny!! I use luminar for a year now super happy. I totally agree with you I am not creative at all and had to build that skill... Was not easy for me. I hope to meet you in one of luminar trips. ♥️♥️
Te hace falta un poco de Background tropical para tus fotos, verás como cambia tu perspectiva de la fotografía utilizando modelos y la naturaleza.
This was a great video! Simple but incredible images. Best advice I ever got was keep it simple because when you try to get too "fancy" it doesnt look as good.
I usually try to get the best camera and lens setup I can get, set the camera to Auto and just hope for a good result. It's a numbers game and eventually you'll get couple great pictures out of 1000s

Back when we were shooting corporate portraits on medium format film. We only took one picture per person.
4:10 onward you really gave us no useful info on the lenses that worked or didn't. We know you used some unspecified f/4 zoom later. No idea which lens was no good for this because you never said.
Ok you lost me the second you slimmed down her body 🤦♀️😡
класс
Editing things like brightness and colour saturation is one thing, but things like body slimming are a step too far for me. Unimpressive in my book. I thought this was a photography channel, not a graphic art channel.
Didn't like the fact that slim her down, a general editing. Projecting false reality
The face and body slimming … like why? So f*cked
Just 'say no' to Luminar. It will cheapen your images. 4:50 up-lighting is generally unattractive, no matter how much editing you use. Hard light isn't 'tough.' Besides, you were mostly in the shade.
SUPER. SUPER , THE BEST VIDEOS , VERY NICE நன்றாக இருக்கிறது வாழ்த்துக்கள் ,CHENNAI-R.MANOHAR(MGR) INDIA,*
If you can't manipulate harsh noon lighting without a ND filter you don't know what you're doing. Notice manny didn't need one right? He struggled a bit because the model was too pasty had he went with a model with darker skin the light would've been absorbed better instead of bounced back into the lens. Darker skin bmodels always make for better portraits
lack of storytelling portrait , very boring portait, and lightning not great, manny is very amateur entry level, look inside it, guys like damien lovegrove or jerry ghionis they are in next level, keep getting better, my humble opinion

You never changed Diana’s body with Neo. Might be time to retire dude.
but your photos are not creative. I watched a lot of youtuber/photographer and you're not one of the good ones like Irene Rudnyck, John Branch, and the likes. You are very good with technicality, make great videos, and have great gears but creativity and artistic sense are not your strong suits
Is that the r8 with the 50mm 1.8?
Thanks
