There should be more to life

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

I truly think work in the modern day sense, alienates us from ourselves and pushes us far away from our true self. I'm conviced that we CANNOT be fulfilled as long as we're working a job that's robing us from our time, our energy, our soul and our will to live

People been working all the time to survive, in ancient times they hunted, fished, grew crops, raised animals, built houses etc that included hard labour everyday to survive. People have been trading their time to survive forever. That is just how the world works. And we are living in the best times of human history, all the things you have around right now is because people worked. Strive to get the job that you like, work hard, be smart with money, save, invest, build passive income and you might retire sooner or at least have the free time to do what you want.

I agree sm!! The thought of getting like a job terrifies me. All the advice I've been given about getting a job has been just to like. For example, I'm a really shy person, I dont enjoy speaking with other people that much, I'm not confident, I genuinely do not care about any big corporation. But when I have a job interview i feel like I'll have to put on this mask and be everything I'm not. I don't like that. I think that's also a reason why I've been trying to learn graphic design. If i could work for myself, doing something I enjoy and not have to lie so i can buy food and stuff It'd be so amazing. I wish I was born rich (we all do) I can't take it. I'd like to just do what I enjoy without so much risk :(

I personally think that having to work most of the week is a great waste of time and life and general . we have only one life and to waste it on working is really unwise and almost evil ... like think about it , there's only ONE LIFE , a single chance for you to be and to discover life and grow . Time is a precious limited resource to us humans , and to spend it mostly on work , doing it and thinking about it distracts us from things that actually matter . that's what I think . Of course I'm not anti-work at all . let's be honest , it maintains society and civilization . What I think should be , is to have more time for ourselves and less time for work , that is lesser than what is currently approved . it should be meaningful work and it should not be allowed to take a big portion of one's life and time , as that would only make it become meaningless and soul-sucking soul-enslaving . Thanks for sharing your thoughts 🙂🙂

    1. Sales sucks. 2. You applied to the fanciest place in Paris and you expect it to be down to Earth. There is an imbalance there. 3. You cant have everything you want, and sometimes even when you get what you want the world takes it all from you. 4. The universe will provide you with what you need, but you have to show that youre willing to be an active participant, and the way to show that is by accepting what the universe gives you and working through it.

Most of what you said is very specific to Sales Jobs. Even then unless your job has some sale quotas or you salary is based on commission, in general you don't have to lie. The severe majority of jobs, specially outside sales, there is absolutely no need for lies. You can easily go work part-time at a fast food restaurant, no lying required. I think your expectations for work and life as a whole are unrealistic. Sure you can find part-time work, but it will never pay you well nor will it help grow a career. Having a career, allows you to actually feel fulfilled and gain more money, which in return will allow you to have more fun when you're not working by allowing you to buying things you want and go on vacations. I don't know why mention medieval times. Back then you would "work" more than 8h per day and there was no such thing as a weekend to rest. If you're not planting, you're either harvesting, you're tending to animals, crafting or maintain tools for your work and doing housework. Housework was super time consuming... you would have to wash you cloths by the river 1 by 1 by hand, hang the clothing to dry. Work was more dirty and you only had a broom to clean the floor. Lets not forget that there was no plumbing system, so you had to get water from somewhere on a daily basis. It was fairly brutal by modern standards. The life we have now is more luxurious than the lords back then.

I have the same beliefs you do and I have consumed so many hours communicating it through various ways. You also need to take care of yourself because having this mindset can make you a target and it may isolate you or get you exiled because it is not "politically correct". You want to work 2 days per week but you have limited or no valuable skills for the business. It takes time for the company to hire and train you, and business operations have complex processes. Even in sales, you have to follow up with clients, etc., and be dedicated. It's easier to hire a robot or anyone else who can work full-time than you. Your best career path is to be a waitress or restaurant staff. Serious jobs require people who are responsible and accountable. Businesses cannot operate successfully with staff like you.

It was not my job and i am happy am not part of such "evil" job. My sister husband is working that for about 10 years already. He lies not only on his job. Thats why i said at some point cant separate.. I was freelancer at some point and still thinking to be at some point. Well, i can still work whenever i want but i still prefer to be my own boss. When you're a child the threat to learn things is pain. When you're a grown up the threat morphs into survival (death.) They beat the child into submission and then threaten the adult with death to make this endless cycle going. Good for them. Sure you have a chipper and energetic mindset, now. But when that runs out as age draws you in, you will curse the days you didn't put in the hours.
