I belong to Generation X. We had so much hope back then. We as a generation thought we could change the world. Nothing was serious. The music was good. The bands were awesome. Where I lived there was always a great new band to see at the local club. Watched Friends every Thursday before going out. Lived with my high school sweetheart in a crappy apartment. We got married in the mid nineties, and a year later started our family. My wife and I both graduated from college and got our dream jobs. If you asked my in 1997 when I was 25 years old that I would be pushing 50 someday, I would have told you that you were high. 30 seemed light years away. Now 25 might as well be ancient history.

I hated the 90s...then things went worse from there. The joy and innocence of the 60s, 70s, and 80s pretty much died in the 90s. I'm sorry you missed it.

This feels like the most 1995-1999 song ever. Along with Cher’s Believe, the reason, the Macarena, livin la vida, smooth, all star. Damn, we lived such a wonderful, charmed life. I had such an amazing childhood and these songs have carried me through so much. Thank god I was born before 2001. Any other 1990 or 90 babies here??

I was in my 30's in the 90's and though I'm a child of the 60's the 90's had some kick ass original songs. Good memories.

I don't care what people say this song is or isn't about. It always reminds me of someone in particular, someone I can't stop myself thinking about all the time. There she goes. There she goes again, racing through my brain. 🤯😥

I can relate! I miss the 90s too, everything you said and absolutely the music was great, especially considering the music of today. I can't stand the sound of auto tuned voices and it seems like that is all I hear when involuntary listening to it. Maybe they had that in the 90's, I don't know, but I didn't notice it. Maybe it's the latest trend -- to sound like a robot.

LOL--video cameras became ubiquitous in the '90s but there was a musical renaissance for sure in the first half of that decade (before it got shit again for good) and it was more mellow. The USA was definitely hijacked during the 2000 election, with 9/11 happening a year later. The Deep State coup on Election Day/January 6th is in is death spiral thankfully.

Once in a while, I go back to this song! It made me quit my job in Belgium late 90's to Join a Boston grunge band for several years /insane years of recklessness. Met my future wife before moving back to Belgium. Hearing this song makes me wonder how, why music can push you to do amazing stuff?! When I explain this story to my son while we're listening to this! He just shrugs! & say " you are crazy!" (Tim Boston)

I didn’t think much of this song when it came out but hearing it now makes me cry just thinking how painful is the passage of time. The friends and family who are no longer here. The young and innocent person I used to be. No way we can ever go back to those days.

I don’t know why but I’ve always been really fascinated with innocent sounding female singers. There’s a certain purity to the way six pence, abba, michelle branch, etc all sound that’s just comforting to listen to.

This is one of those 90's galleria mall department store lounge or dressing room or food court songs. Only us 90's babies would know like me. It was played everwhere bacj then I miss and ❤ the (1990's). But I ❤ 90's songs.

My daughter was learning to walk when this song came out... we sang it a lot.... a long time ago

Listening to music like this , music I grew up with the 80s 90s . I now realise how lucky I was to grow up in an almost normal time. So sad for the youth of today .

That innocent feeling came back that was lost after high school!.. Cant stop crying!.. Been searching this song forever 😭😭😭

This song was originally sung by The La’s in 1990

I never heared of this song before, and one morning I woke up with this melody stuck in my mind, and I thought so hard which song it is and couldn't figure it out, I downloaded soundhound and sing to it, and that's how I found this song and this band, it was one of the most beautiful experience, I still don't know how that happened.

My god Leigh’s voice is angelic … definitely my top 3 favorite of all time! Tonight, I do believe, it is the first time I’ve seen this video.

I’m nearly 15, and I have been binging TV during this 3rd lockdown. Thank you ‘The A Word’ for bringing descent music into my life!

Leigh Nash is such an angel. When she was on Letterman's show he asked her if he could come to her hotel.

There's really nothing like the feeling of hearing a song that you really liked back in the day all these years laters. I mean a lot of people discover these songs down the line. But if you liked it back then, then you hear it now, the nostalgia hits different. (If that made sense.)😅

Oh that makes perfect sense. I will always remember the girl that would pulse through my veins every time I heard this song (Also Kiss Me by the same artist) She, of course, didn't feel the same way for me. This song brings all that back, but being married now, and with all those years behind me, it's only the sweet nostalgia that remains. (Along the with "This feeling that remains", of course!😊)

It feels like *"youth" energy just gets transferred into you* when listening to this song, it's amazing.

This song randomly popped in my head last night and had to look it up. I havent heard this song in YEARS! This song took me back to simpler times ❤️

The 90's was so great huh ? It was the most violent decade in human history and was the peak of gang related warfare across the entire world. More people died of violence in the 90's than any other decade.

The only thing I think about when I listen to this song is about my mom. The only person in this world who can make me feel better even through the pain. “No one else could heal my pain” ❤️
