This really isn’t them at all. They’re the most lovable, genuine and cutest men I’ve seen. They used this song to address some problems they faced with obsessive fans and unfair treatment they faced due to coming from a smaller entertainment company. honestly they’re just roasting them all, went off like crazy and I’m so here for it

Captain Kim Hongjoong, you were right! The other member is Park Seonghwa, oldest, captain's right hand man, usually a vocalist but has been rapping more lately. Matz is their duo name, which basically just means eldest brothers. They have said that originally their unit song was meant to be a lighter song but Seonghwa really had hip hop in his heart and wanted to try, so Hongjoong produced this and they both wrote the lyrics :) Ateez will be releasing 3 more unit MVs this month!

MATZ is what HongJoong and Seonghwa call themselves. It basically means oldest and friends. They are 2 members of our Demon Line (San is the third). They are seriously the sweetest, kindest souls. Then when the music starts demons come out. They were told they would have units for this album. When Hongjoong and Seonghwa were put together HongJoong thought it would give them a chance to give us Thank U part 2 (Thank U is a song Hongjoong wrote to Seonghwa about their friendship). Instead Seonghwa said let’s do a hard hitting hip hop and call out the haters on it. And we got this banger

Its funny that you mention how they get into character. Seonghwa, Hongjoong, and San are affectionately known as "the demon line" bc off stage they're loveable goofballs, but when it's time to perform it's like a switch and they become "demons" bc of if their intensity and attitude onstage.

Ateez & Stray Kids are friends! I’m a Stay first but Ateez is a very close 2nd. They deserve more attention & I’m so glad they’re getting it. ❤

Matz refers to Hongjoong and Seonghwa as the oldest members in Korean Matz mean 'oldest'. Hongjoong's line "If you want to put a GPS put it on a suitcase, not on a Carnival, You can be busy too" is a references to 2021 where they found GPS trackers on their Kia Carnival. After that line Hongjoong raps how they need to get a life or they can put GPS rather in their luggage becuz they are always travelling around the world so it's useless to put them on their cars.

Thanks for your reaction! Some background… The lyrics are talking about the stalkers that put a GPS on their Carnival van and people that sell/buy their numbers and info. I’ve been on several lives where stalker fans were blowing up their cell phones. Or they get mobbed with cameras stuck right in their faces. It’s crazy and sometimes a little scary. The people in black seem to be representing those types of people. Some have camera film over their faces and the store is selling the ill-gotten media.

HongJoong is the "Captain"...never a "Leader" as they are pirates after all 😉 ATEEZ are so hype but they also have a soft side 😊 MATZ is their duo name and it basically means the oldest brothers. I cant wait for more ATEEZ reactions...and yes their duality is insane...these two members are 2 of the 3 members that make up ATEEZ "Demon" Line which is the 3 members that are insane onstage and when they perform they turn into completely different people...almost like they're possessed.

I can't wait for you to go further down the Ateez rabbit hole! I hope you do a guide at some point, I think it would help you get a better grasp on who Ateez are as people and as a group. The best ones are pretty long but Atiny will definitely watch you react to the whole thing! You're definitely right about Ateez getting into character, they actually have something called the demon line (Hongjoong, Seonghwa, and San) due to their insane stage presence and facial expressions. I'm sure you have a lot of planned reactions on your plate, but I think you'd also really like the other group under KQ (the company Ateez is under) called Xikers. I'd recommend the song Koong if you happen to react to them! I love how genuine you are with these reactions, they always make me smile!

From you being so excited about STRAY KIDS and ATEEZ I figure you like fast paced, high energy and rap? Well then, same 😉 And kpop actually have A LOT of crazy talented rappers! If you're interested in exploring new groups, I have a few recommendations. Your reaction to the 'No cap' in STRAY KIDS' song, reminded me of MONSTA X's song 'Rush hour'. MONSTA X debuted in 2015 and have the rapper duo JooHoney and I.M, who are fire 🔥 Going back to 2012, we got the iconic group B.A.P, with rapper duo YongGuk and ZELO. 2011 we got BLOCK B, with legendary rapper ZICO and even further back to 2006 gave us BIGBANG, with one of the best rappers in the industry - G-Dragon. All these groups have that perfect combination of rap and vocals, that just plays and bounces off each other in a perfect energetic mix 😊

Fun Fact, Seonghwa, the eldest in ateez, was casted by KQ because of his glare, the recruiter thought Hwa would Kill him if he didn't let him join lol. It's so funny cause Hwa is literally so sweet n gets teased by Ateez so much.
