There's Something About Taylor...

In this JCS inspired true crime documentary, we cover the extremely bizarre case of Taylor Gould, Mark Waugh and Rahul Gupta. We examine exactly what happened behind the door of apartment 1601.
This case dives deep into the details of the evening of the murder, the history of their friendships and relationships, the crimes, interrogations and legal aftermath.
I really hope you all enjoy.

Despite how convoluted this was, it was easy to crack this one once you understand how motive works. - A jealous Rahul fighting with Josh earlier in the evening - Rahul's drunken confession to the murder - Taylor's story NEVER changing even when she had an incentive to lie in order to easily throw Rahul under the bus - Rahul's phone call with his dad The sick part is that the victim could have very well been Josh had he not chosen to go home early.

It was reported my behaviour was atrocious and extremely offensive to my dear friends and other patrons of the bar. I didn’t want to give up, I loved Jameson, but the blackouts were serious and something terrible was going to happen if I didn’t stop. To this day I can only remember one tiny fragment of the last night drinking and I’m lucky I didn’t get my head kicked in. Cheers for another excellent video.

Rahul's call to his dad from jail was a pretty damning piece of evidence for me. Once I heard that, all my weighing, wavering, and wondering pretty much stopped. While we will likely never know with perfect certainty exactly what happened, that phone call gets us as close to what happened as we'll ever get and no jury could easily explain away and move past that bombshell.

It's really bizaare, I kind of agree but then when you see the conversation between them in the police station its clear they're both aware of more than they're letting on - he seems to have admitted culpability, but then she's saying she "doesen't remember", gives the strangest 911 call ever and doesen't even slightly implicate Rahul even when she's in danger of being arrested for a crime she supposedly didn't commit. My guess is that they were both involved to some degree, perhaps she lied about being "come on to", maybe he did the stabbing with her approval or vice versa? Very confusing no doubt, but it seems extremely obvious that there is in fact "Something about Taylor".

This is why Taylor had on three different outfits: She changed out of outfit #1 (a nice dress) into outfit #2, her pajamas and then into outfit #3 because her pajamas included short shorts which she wouldn’t want to wear anywhere outside of her apartment, especially in a police station. Any female would understand this! Also, I believe Taylor was extremely intoxicated and had passed out (into a deep sleep) when Rahul and Mark got into a fight. Rahul had stabbed Mark to death then woke Taylor up and yelled at her to call 911. I understand why she would be so confused! She truly did not know what was going on and was honest to 911 and to the police about her confusion. The confession Rahul made to the police when he was being taken to the police station along with what he told his father on the phone about fighting with Mark and taking the knife from him, speaks volumes! He also seems like he was a very jealous and controlling boyfriend. Rahul first got into it with Josh at the bar accusing him of cheating with Taylor then just a few hours later he got into a fight with Mark because he thought he was cheating with Taylor… The way Rahul talked to Taylor when they were alone in the interrogation room showed just how narcissistic and controlling he was. He then gaslit Taylor and tried to make her believe SHE stabbed Mark! 🙄 Rahul knew EXACTLY what happened. I think he would have hurt or killed a girlfriend/ wife or even a friend at some point in the future due to his narcissistic personality, jealousy and anger issues. He is definitely where he belongs!!!

So many feelings and possibilities about this one. At the beginning of the 911 call you can hear Rahul saying to Taylor "Get the f**k off of me. Don't touch me." Taylor responds with "I didn't-- I didn't do anything wrong." Rahul can then be heard crying and screaming out "Nooooo" the Taylor again says "I didn't do anything wrong. Ok" which kinda makes her look guilty af. But she can be heard saying "Stop" and the times she says "I didn't do anything wrong " sounds like she's trying to tell Rahul that she wasn't cheating (doing anything wrong) and possibly telling him to stop whatever he was doing to Mark. His statement at the beginning to first responders wasn't a drunken misstatement as he said "I caught my girlfriend cheating on me with Mark so we got into a fight and I must have killed him." I do believe that they got the right person despite the convoluted mess of deciphering a situation involving seriously intoxicated ppl.

If you don't think Taylor was involved you must be forgetting the hair in Mark's hand and on the knife, etc. She played everyone for fools. They wouldn't have even called for 911 if it wasn't for Rahul yelling at her, and then she just covered it all up, somehow, by just saying "I don't know" until everyone believed it. Poor little girl, couldn't have possibly be cheating on her bf, even though everyone else knew or said so. They both did it, she just got away with it because they could blame a brown male. There is simply zero way someone dies, in your apt, with your hair all over their dead body and the weapon, and you just "don't know." What a crock.

as a messy girl with long hair, I will say that if a bloody guy was rolling around on the floor of my bedroom, they would undoubtably have my hair all over them, and potentially my old contacts. also if the knife was on the ground after it was used, it makes more sense as to how taylor’s hair got there vs her hair being there during the struggle and remaining there during and after the stabbing. Not saying she didn’t do it, just that the presence of hair on anything that has spent time in a girls room means basically nothing.

I agree 100%. Also, blood is incredibly sticky from the fibrin as it begins to activate, so anything will stick quickly to anything bloody. It's tacky like glue. Even easily explains the hair on the wall, which the hair could have been there already, or whipped up into the air from all of the thrashing and then stuck to the blood very easily. I said elsewhere, my wife's hair is all over the place and I find it even in my clean clothes, and I don't wash mine with hers and I still get her hair in my clothing.

During that call, she was clearly dazed and woozy as hell. She couldn't focus on what happened and what was in front of her, and probably could barely keep her eyes open. Been there with sleep deprivation-I was so fucked up that I started handwriting absolutely ludicrous, nonsensical shit on official papers. Couldn't formulate a single spoken sentence, and didn't remember any of it later. @@jasmyncarey6855 I'm going to assume you have more than half a brain here. (not clear yet) You alluded to Rahul knowing Mark was stabbed while Taylor didn't. I was simply saying Taylor was fully blacked out and obviously Rahul wasn't. That's not an indicator that he was the killer because of their different levels of toxication at the time. It has a lot to do with what you said, doofus.

Tough one. I think he was hoping that she was so drunk that she might confess to it. In the end I think it would take a jealous rage to commit a crime that violent. I think he did it.

That call from his father tells the truth. Mark tried grabbing a knife to defend himself only for Rahul to take it away and stab him repeatedly with it. Taylor didn’t help by being a bad gf but she’s no killer

For sure. I think she is disloyal and probably a hoe, but does not a murderer make. She seemed more concerned with convincing rahul she “didn’t do anything” with mark then convincing the dispatch they need help. Maybe it was bc she feared for her life too? Idk

I think the only thing that really irks me about this case is that she should have had some consequences for not providing aid and making it so the police/ambulance didn't get there in time to help Mark. That 911 call is infuriating to listen to. The fact that the state that Mark was in was so bad and how much blood was everywhere and she seemed to do everything to stall aid makes her culpable in my eyes. Maybe of lesser crimes, but crimes nonetheless. I realize how drunk everyone was, but her behavior was very odd and suspicious. It's not hard to say your friend is lying in a pool of his own blood and needs medical attention whether you know what happened or not. The clothes changes are weird too. Strange case all around. I still think Rahul did it, but I think Taylor was more involved than what the court decided.
