My dad took me to Lebanon Valley Speedway in upstate NY in 1976 when i was 5.. That was life changing, the pure, raw power. For this young brotha from the city, to a 53 yr old floridian who has experienced EVERYTHING life has to offer, i HAVE and WILL NEVER EVER forget it!!

I absolutely love funny cars grew up watching them. Went to my home track every weekend. Started going to NHRA events when I went into the Navy in California. Come out of Vietnam went back to southern Missouri and started going to NHRA events every Weekend 😊😊❤❤

Nothing like a high octane hemispheric blown engine rumble as it puts out well over 1000hp

I took my son to a nostalgia drag race last year and it was so freaking cool. There was only one nitro car but all the gassers and other old drag car were so freaking cool

Have any of you guys heard of Wayne Mahaffey from Decatur, AL? When I was young, his daughter was my babysitter. We used to watch him drag his funny car all the time. Damn that was exhilarating.

We used to have a thing called 64 funny cars at sir Kent Washington it was a load of fun and excitement

I was there at Texas motorplex back in April on the “ Bucket list “ pit crew we won our class our fastest pass of the weekend was 3.88 at 203 mph best pass ever

Usually I comment on what a waste of time. Not this time. I've seen most of these cars. But unfortunately I never got to see Don Garlits. Glad I grew up in the day where a kid could afford to go to these races just by mowing a couple of lawns.

Haven't followed it in awhile but I hear the top. Classes are doing 300 mph quarter mile times now. When I was a kid ,in the street class 13 seconds was a quick street car and ten was borderline pure race car lol
