When making other projects, like pens or peppermills, I usually have to trim the burls down to fit in the moulds. Instead of throwing the little pieces in the bin, I’ve been putting them in this bucket. My intention was to fill the bucket with the offcuts, drop in some resin and make something from it. I added two colours into the resin a blue and a purple. To make sure there were no bubbles in the resin I put it in the vacuum chamber and cycled it a few times. Would have to say one of the best purchases I’ve made in recent times. Very handy bit of kit. The randomness of the wood in the resin makes this an interesting piece.
The bowl is approximately 12cm tall and 15cm in diameter.
