I don't think it is fair to be asking abt Pragg Or any other player to the winners here. Focus on the winners of the tournament. It is not like they would give a negative opinion abt other players.

This is probably the worst set of questions some reporters could ask chess players. I am not sure whether it is Sagar and ChessBase India's high standards, but these were some extremely poor questions.

I think focussing on Pragg is a bit disrespectful to the winners. Asking them for advice for Pragg on behalf of Pragg was plain stupid. We all love Pragg, but we need to be mindful that Chess world is much bigger than just Indian players.

Pathetic interviews. Those who do not follow chess only know the name pragg because of the World Cup. They are going crazy thinking he has suddenly appeared in the chess world and will take over. This only happened because there was no iota of chess support from mainstream media and when suddenly some Indian player reached final in chess World Cup, they went batshit crazy. No mention of even vidit who is the only one along with Magnus to play two consecutive qf in chess World Cup, which is also a great achievement.

I don't know why there is always some mismanagement in tournaments's held in india... Like official opening ceremony where to watch no idea... Closing ceremony when and where to watch no idea... also in the opening ceremony of this tournament there was some trouble with mics which is bad... Anyone is passing by , disturbing the viewing experience.. hope we can improve this in future... Also the main issue we have with all these streams.. specially in rapid and blitz is the camera placement (camera angle) on the boards... I remember tal memorial tournament videos are the perfect example camera placement on the boards... Also while broadcasting please zoom in the boards make the life feed bigger and analysis board smaller in comparision... It really ruins the experience and interest level in watching the tournament... We also like to see if local govt. Or organisers can plan a small tour of the city and some sports and fun games for the players and later post videos of the same it would be fun to watch and it will be great for chess audience and players.. hope this message reach to the organisers and important people. Also going to cmnt the same thing in few other videos so that it spreads...

Gotta love Grischuk's witty wisdom there - and his fun🙏👍👏🧡! Pragg will do well to remember what all he said!! (Other youngsters too)... very bad questions, but thank you Sasha for keeping your cool with such uneducated media, and still understanding and coming up with an answer FOR the Indian stars! Thanks to MVL too, for also keeping your cool. And answering with a serious (and correct) answer: "I think Pragg can play any opening!"

That Journalists thinks Pragg is a small child who is learning LOL . Dude's a GM . Do you even know what a GM is . That is why arrange the tournaments in Bengaluru .

There should be a mininum FIDE elo requirement for journalists/reporters who want to participate in these interviews, it will make the questions more relevant and interesting because they themselves know the chess community.

Chess interviews are always hilarious with all those crazy questions 🤣

indian journalist should stop treating prag as a kid know, man is already embarrassed and frustrated. he is already a full fledged GM. No need to keep on asking other pro players about their opinion on him. keep it professional and ask questions related to the winner's experience.

why is there so much confusion around seats, background talk, etc. Cmon you can do better - plan ahead! make the players feel respectful esp when they are speaking stand and listen else leave the room. Don't add to the commotion. Love Pragg's demeanour esp when they are asking qs about his performance.
