Hi, thanks for watching! I'm currently making a video essay on why we love music anime like BTR and K-ON! Any specific music anime or discussion point that you wanna hear about? 🎸🎹🎶 SEP 3, 2023 UPDATE: I've unfortunately had to take my time with the video due to chronic headaches that hurt when I work or speak (i.e. narrating for my vid). I'm done with the script now though and it's 17k words = 1+ hour in video form... So y'all ready for a film-length analysis of your favorite music anime? (LOL) But my headaches are kicking in right now, so I'm not sure when I'll be able to film. And if ever I don't get to do so soon, I'll proceed with finishing scripts for other vids instead. @@Oizys_Hiraya yesss, Hibike Euphonium felt like the truest musicians anime, there was always a character that everyone could relate to in the context of being in a big ensemble band. Whether it be just being there for fun, not seeing a future with your instrument, or trying to be hold up to the standards of your other peers. The cast was so diverse, I found a little of myself in a lor of the characters.

Animators clearly did this on purpose, even if we clown on K-on for not being serious or having "critically acclaimed" story telling. You can't deny how influential it was. K-on walked so Bocchi and future music anime could run. K-on is legendary. :)

@David Whisleman Yea, plus K-On is not a music anime. Its just CGDCT with good songs. Bochhi and K-On are two different types of shows, and they cannot be compared. But one simply cannot deny the influence K-On had on the industry as a whole.

Ok k-on and bocchi is good clearly there no need to hate on it but i disagree that k-on make music anime big so other anime could born before k-on there a anime called “Beck” which laid the work before k-on does so for me or for prob anyone watching anime since the old time gonna say Beck is the one who make the road

It started out like Kessoku and HTT were just incoherently clashing but at 1:04, it sounded more like a beautiful back and forth rally. I personally love both K-On and Bocchi The Rock so I think it is pointless to compare them and instead let us enjoy both as they are. ❤️

​@justicedemocrat9357 Thats kinda true, but you gotta think about it a bit more. K-on has way more episodes than BTR, so thats why you might say that, BTR has a lot of potential to be greater, maybe not better than K-on, but still great nonetheless.

As someone who watched K-on as a child, I had to give Bocchi a try, I'm at episode 4 and loving every bit so far. Nostalgia from the past and having Bocchi in the present to have me feeling like a kid again really gets that melancholy sort of sense.

K-on was the reason I currently have a Les Paul. K-on kept me playing years ago, it will still in the long run.

Back in my first year of High school (2015), K-ON made me learn guitar, after graduation and 4 years being lonely in my university in a new city, unable to make friends, with bad grades and some social anxiety, Bocchi the rock made me pick up my guitar again and showed me that even a loser like me can find a shine. Both anime hold a special place in my heart. Thank you very much for creating this mash-up, it made my cry of joy and hope.

K-ON! is a cute slice of life that has made moe genre as we know it and is great at being cute and whole hearted, sure is not serious but you know you are leaving happy when you finish an ep While Bocchi us a story about being introverted and also expressing it in music in way. they are both awesome and I look foundly in both of them, sure K-ON! doesn't leave an impact but it fells like home seeing Hokago tea time, while Bocchi resonates with you and hits deeply

Well the plot of k on doesn't leave an impact but as musicians we really loved the great music compositive effort in songs like go go maniac, or the beautiful melodies in general, k on inspired many people to cover songs on internet also inspired a lot of ppl to take the guitar and play, it's actually an anime of cult, I think that from the music, btr and k on leaves a great message and impact on the musicality of lots of fans of good music. Man look at ano band from kessoku band, that's a freaking genius song, the intro the funky muted guitar playing it's other level!

@@efim_061 oh yeah absolutely, I did 8 years of piano in my life and I love Rock. K-ON has awesome songs I know really well how good the songs are and how impactfull they were, also Kyo Ani are great at making songs that will be covered like crazy, another example is God Knows from Haruhi. Also I think everyone needs to admit that K-ON songs go hard as fuck. Also about btr one thing a friend noted me is how the hand of Kita is sloppy on the guitar during the series, which of course it is considering how she just learned to play, also I've also been in a band and the 8th episode you see really well how they are playing poorly. Also btr songs go hard as fuck.

During my school day K-On plot were more impactful, because the problem in the anime is so relatable, especially during the last episodes nearing graduation, all the feeling rushed at once. I don't take anything need to be "impactful" in heavy senses like mental, or relatability. Just being fun is enough, I mean fun things are fun, both anime have that and I love dearly. I just wish Bochi have more songs, because the only banger songs from this season is just Never Forget, Guitar, loneliness and blue planet imo
