I lost my Dad to Pancreatic Cancer in 1982. I was 19 years old. He was diagnosed & passed in a matter of 3 weeks. I miss him terribly. He never witnessed any of our marriages or met his grandchildren. Unfortunately, he never travelled the world with my Mom. He was newly retired & those plans never came to fruition. 💔😕

Don't ever dismiss the power of your words, Ryan! You never know who had to hear your words today and did not even know they needed that message! So when fear or anxiety take hold of YOU, just think what fear or anxiety will be calmed in someone else, just by listening to what YOU have to share! Don't deny them that gift from you! How many times do we overlook the "good" kids in our family because they don't cause trouble, to always focus on the "not so good kid" in the family because they are always causing some kind of problem! Instead, we should find something positive in them, instead of akways drawing attention to the negative! I wish I would have done more of that when my kids were growing up, even though they were good kids! Love your spirit love your messages! 😊❤ God Bless!

It is such a peaceful place. I know at one time it was a restaurant, then a bar room. There was a fire and then it became a food pantry. It sat empty for years and now is a coffee roastery.

Ryan, I do it too much!!!! I absolutely KNOW how powerful our words are! But I still say things like "I can't XYZ" or "I give up at XYZ" etc. Or I'm too (negative thing like large, loud, slow, etc.). And you're exactly correct, what we say can and does affect others AND ourselves! These are words of wisdom you speak today and you have a WONDERFUL way of doing this. Your words are very encouraging. I learned very early the power of words. Both my parents were alcoholics and they loved us greatly. The name of your video says it truly! I remember things my dad said, that were detrimental to me and it doesn’t take much to bring it to my mind, again. I’m 65, and it hurts me, when someone does it to children. I was thinking, do you have trouble laying things down at the foot of the cross…then picking them right back up? I'm so glad you started a channel. I have had Gastroparesis for a year now, and we have been raising our granddaughter's now for 6 1/2 years. I also have a few other painful things wrong. I'm in so much pain that I'm really grouchy with the girls and my husband and have been asking why me. I love your messages they have encouraged me to walk closer to with the Lord I love. Thank you for that!! Also know that I love your coffee and you have spoiled me. I can not drink another kind of coffee now and that's the only thing I can drink. I’ve said a little prayer tonight that your pain would ease!! It is very hard to not be grouchy when in pain!! As I was praying for you, the story in the Bible came to mind where Jesus was going to heal the blind man. Everyone was asking who sinned to cause his blindness. Jesus responded that it was so the Father would be glorified. I think the answer for your question of “why me” is that your life will glorify the Father!! This is an amazing honor and I bless you!!

I was once married to an abusive person both physically & emotionally. I’m sure we’ve all heard the saying “sticks and stones may break your bones but words will never hurt you”. Incorrect ! My bruises healed BUT the words were more hurtful. Being called a “zero” took a long time to get over . My response (probably not the best one) was … “you married me so, what does that make you?” That was so long ago and I have confidence in myself again . So, yes, words are powerful…. we need them to be kind words. 🌻 Thank you for reminding us.!

We all or guilty about our words. For me it is a very hard thing to control. I have been a single mom raising 3 sons for many years. I’ve been their protector and had to stand up for them. But God has helped me to realize I don’t have to try to control my words or be in charge He is in charge and I have to trust God to help me, we have to turn everything over to Him. You are doing a great job please continue to listen to the HS and you will win many souls and it lets people know we all go thru the same thing. 🙏🙏

The Bible also calls the tongue an unruly piece of meat, asking who can bridle it. Who indeed! When we can learn to pause and think before we speak, consider what impact our words will have in the life of the people around us, in ourselves, and ask ourselves if there's a better way to say what we want to say, then we're on the way to bridling the tongue. I am a very deliberate speaker, and as a result, I am often cut off, shut down and not given the opportunity to speak. However, no one can accuse me of not thinking before I speak! (Most of the time anyway!)
