I'm pretty sure they confirmed somewhere afterwards: this wasn't actually an interview. The guy (and the others from the episode) already had been hired, and this was a fake orientation that the company let the Jokers do. So they were actually just showing them where they'd be working. The question about wanting the job was more like a "so, still wanna work here?"

I think the one thing these challenges fail to take in consideration is how badly people need money and jobs lol
