It gets better with practice, sort of like emotional granularity in clients, therapeutic notes become second hand overtime.

We all need reminders, no matter how long we've been in the game :)
I just made a list the other day but you reminded me of one intervention I forgot. Thank you for your generosity.

@@honeybearx5740 you gave me hope that I'll get even better with writing notes over time. It's unbelievable how there isn't much supervision, support, or guidance at all with how to conduct notes or treatment plans.

Thank you so much, 🙏 I am catching up with all your extremely helpful videos. Can you make a video on some universal sentences that can be used for any session with any client independently of the trauma or subject the client brings to the therapy. I need to pass my practical exam getting good marks on speaking freely without asking direct questions and yet help the client to progress conversation. 🙏

That was very helpful. DART notes must be an old method. I can't find info on them anywhere
I have always felt challenged with writing case notes, as it was not something taught in grad school. I am wondering what section of the case note would we include the interventions if writing a SOAP note or DAP note? Thanks so much for making this helpful material available. :-)
@MaelisaMcCaffrey
2 жыл бұрын
Interventions could go in Objective for SOAP, and in Data for DAP... the key is just putting them in the same section every time so you're not even thinking about it.
notes : assessed , challenged statements/themselves/progress/r'ships/fsmily history/thoughts, demonstrated (modality) like mindfulness technique, communication strategy, explored the onset of a diagnosis/ incidents/explored feelings related to, evaluated consequences of actions/benefits, identified alternative coping strategies/triggers of specific outcomes or symptoms, label feelings/triggers/patterns in life/behaviours (w children pouplar one), normalise experience/feelings , reflected things back, processed feelings/fear they have/ emotions related to a specific person
Can you provide a link of a cheat sheet? Thanks
Can you give a link about this? A cheat sheet to print?
Example cheat sheet?
any links for downloads of therapy sessions that are good for using on ipad sessions
