Ойын-сауық

This is my reaction to Stressed Out by Twenty One Pilots. As you can hear in the video I have split this into two parts. Please support the channel by watching Part 2 and hearing my thoughts on this:

WHY AM I DONG IT THIS WAY?
A lot of channels do Patreon or KZread Memberships at a cost to the viewer which puts a lot of content behind a paywall, meaning it is pay to view, and a large amount of the subscriber base miss out on a lot of content, or the quality of the content available to non members reduces. I don’t like this approach.
My way - EVERY one will get to see ALL content. If you aren’t in a position to donate - you still get to see ALL content and your current experience of the channel will NOT change at all. If you do want to support the channel then you get to decide how I prioritise the videos.

    The bond between Tyler and Josh is very special. Josh is Tyler’s rock and anchor. You will see the secret bro handshake again in a future video This video was filmed in their actual childhood homes with their actual families. Tyler and Josh still live and record in the Columbus area. I think it helps them stay grounded.

    love how deeply you dived into the lyrics! tyler said he wanted to give his insecuritites a 'name and a seat at the table' so he could confront them and see not only what he was insecure about but also how that was impacting him, like what things he was avoiding because of his insecuritites. He put black paint on his hands to 'get into character' becasue "When I think about insecurities and my insecurities are getting the best of me, the things that I think of are kind of a feeling of suffocation and then also the things that I create with my hands."

    At 5:23 You mentioned that songs can bring up memory and this song might’ve brought up memory for people. Me and my best friend took an entire afternoon to learn the handshake from this music video and this band was our whole thing growing up. Our first concert together was TØP, so when you said this is a song that somebody probably hasn’t heard a while and is bringing back memories, you were completely on the nose. This song it’s a lot deeper now that I’m in my second year of university and four hours away from my best friend who used we used to walk to each other’s houses. This song feels a lot like growing up and all the emotions that come with it.

    In regard to the smells part, a big one for me is the smell of cigarette smoke. I don’t smoke myself (never have) but the smell of cigarette smoke instantly takes me back to the turn of the millennium, 2000. I was 3 1/2 years old and I remember walking around the local social club; it was dark, smoky, everyone was drinking and having a good time.

    I felt the same way when I saw them doing the special handshake🥺 I can relate to this song so very much. I live way too much in the past, but it was such a simpler more innocent time❤️

    Awesome reaction as always, loved your insights and interpretations! They were spot on! Super excited to watch you go down the twenty one pilots rabbithole 🥰 Oh and a little fun fact: The paint on Tylers hands and neck symbolizes some of his insecurities. (The paint on the hands symbolizes his insecurities about his writing process and the things he creates, the paint on his neck symbolizes his insecurities about his singing or what he says) Colors are also super important in the lore but you've already figured that out 🥰 Loved the video, I'm off to watch part 2 now!

    When I'm very stressed or cannot sleep I sometimes smell my mother's perfume... It immediately causes me down and I relax. I always believe it's 1 of the ways she lets us know she visits us and that everything's OK and she's close by and we can relax.

    I haven't watched a lot of your videos yet, but I watch your reaction videos specifically because of the analysis. So, thank you. Going to therapy myself there wasn't much explanation given of what was going on in my head, more strategies for dealing with it and an outline of why they work. As I am neurodiverse, a lot of very effective therapies don't work very well for me. I always do better when I understand why my mind is doing what it's doing, what thought patterns to look out for that indicate that the wheels are starting to fall off, and why those thought patterns feed the problem. If I understand, I can see it for what it is. I am not able to follow instructions if I don't sufficiently understand why I need to do that. (I think it's an 'unknowns' thing, I can't know if I am following them properly if I don't fully understand them, and I need to do things properly or what's the point.) I am never sufficiently able to get the therapist to understand that I need education, not instruction. Your videos are far more helpful in this regard. Especially the Ren ones. So, again, thank you.

    Thanks for sharing Karen. I hear what you are saying - I think an understanding of why, and what I would call the function, is really important. Without getting too geeky, if we don’t understand why something is being maintained or being reinforced then I’m not sure how you can stop that from happening unless you just randomly throw techniques at it. Quite often minds are trying to keep us safe in the short term without much consideration of the long term. But the way that actually shows up in every day life looks different for everyone.

    Please check out Ekoh - trauma next. He's fully independent so you shouldn't get a copyright on it. Witt lowry is also independent his song last letter is extremely emotional and deep.

    Ekoh is copyrighted by ‘Ekoh’ on KZread. Witt Lowry is also the copyright holder of Witt Lowry. I can do them but would have to split them into different parts like I’ve down with twenty one pilots.

    It’s easy for independent artists to copyright on KZread through the contentID system. I can check it as I can upload the first 5 seconds and it tells me whether they are copyrighted or not. Unfortunately very few encourage reactors, and they don’t have the time to sift through who is actually doing anything worthwhile. I’ll still do it, it’ll split it into two as you never know what happens at the end of the 30 day dispute. A lot of mine just get removed.

  • @JennC1211

    @JennC1211

    @TherapistReactsOfficial I know ekoh definitely promotes reactors he's watched quite a few of them and has replied saying thanks. Witt lowry I'm sure would too. But if you don't mind still doing them even if it's 2 parts that would be amazing. Last letter will definitely make you cry. Kinda similar to nfs how could you leave us. I will give you the back story to last letter after the reaction. Trauma gives you some of the trauma ekoh has experienced and how that has affected his life. He actually posted a status about it that I'll share with you as well
