It's Time To Go was my surprise song at Taylor's last show in Brazil. She sang Say Don't Go and then It's Time To Go. I think it was her way of telling us fans that she didn't want the Eras Tour to end but she had to say goodbye for now. It was such a powerful moment.

As a kid who grew up having my parents fighting A LOT because of his drinking problems, THAT verse breaks me because I know they tried to "stay for the kids" and it only broke me (and my brother) even harder...

Perhaps the line “he’s got my past frozen behind glass but I’ve got me” refers to her remaking albums too. He thought he owned her music but she’s saying ‘no that came from me, I was the magic on those records and can produce it again’!

I see it like that too, especially because in the I can see you video clipe her pass is frozen behind class, but she got herself in the vault

Yeah that's always how I definitely interpret it. It's about her songs frozen behind glass but she has herself to remake them and he didn't really take her story and past from her. It's still hers.

Love this one! I also identify with these lyrics because I left my husband after 20 years. We have kids so it was hard but it was absolutely the right thing to do. Taylor always hits home, doesn't she? BTW, you look so beautiful!

This song came out right as I was dealing with a very toxic work environment, and this truly helped me to be ready to leave. I am so grateful that I left, because I'm in such a better mental and physical space than I was then. ❤️

I’ve been in bad situations in my various workplaces and I tried my best to speak up and ask for help but it only made things worse. I didn’t try to stick it out. I knew when it was time to go. I felt empowered like despite everything I’m still in control of my story. I love the line “ Sometimes to run is the brave thing”. I just left a job where most of the workers were on drugs including my site lead. She was very aggressive and would be verbally abusive. I hope my next job is better. I don’t feel bad about my decision thanks to this song.

It's time to go is a beautiful song that talks about a universal experience of leaving behind a painful memory or toxic people you have met along the road and i just love how you can connect with the song, just like any other Taylor Swift song. Thank you for this reaction Mere, i just left a really painful one-sided gaslighting relationship and this song reaction made me shed some tears because of how much it resonates with me and the thing you said about being brave and strong for walking out of a situation that doesn't work for you instead of staying there being complacent, just thank you 🤎

Absolutely love this song! Worked in fast food for four years and had a boss that made my life hell during Covid and this song was my sign to get out even if I didn’t listen for two years thinking that things will get better and she would change. Alex ended up walking out after she tried to accuse me of slander and honestly play this song a ton to remind myself that I did the right thing.

Hi Mere, I realy enjoy your videos. I don't usually coment like this, but i feel like "Florence Welch from Florence + The Machine" is also someone you could find interesting as she writes her own lyrics and her song a packed with personal experience. I would genualy be intrested on your toughts with - Florence + The Machine - Girls Against God or Florence + The Machine - KING Anyways I always look forward to your videos no matter what they're about.

Such a great song and reaction as always. Mere, I’m extremely proud of you! Look at what you’ve accomplished ; YOU! No one else. You’ve helped me tremendously this year and for that I am so grateful! I believe YOU can do absolutely anything! I’d happily put my money on you anytime. You keep winning and that’s bc you work hard and have the soul of an angel. You’ve been my angel many many times this year when some days I didn’t even want to get out of bed. I will always be eternally grateful for you. Just YOU! We all love you and I can’t wait to see what 2024 brings for you. You’re a star so just keep shining✨ Happy New Year friend🥂

Gosh, heard this right when I needed to. You and Taylor are so helpful. November and December are so challenging for me bc it brings up all the dark things from my family, hometown, and past. I try every year not to spiral and here I am 4 days after Christmas still trying to clean up the mess it made of me this year. I needed to hear your story about listening to this song then compared to now. In this darkness, it’s hard to remember your own power and that there is a future you can build for yourself that doesn’t hurt like this anymore and you have to take that difficult step of letting go and focusing more on the blank slate in front of you with excitement and curiosity. Thank you for these💗 I think I found you this year and I’ve appreciated every video I’ve been able to watch. I hope 2024 and your new home is everything you want it to be.

I loved you reaction because I have such a personal connection with the evermore bonus tracks. I know that Taylor wrote these songs about relationships, but music is art and at the end of the day you are free to interpret your own way, so my way was to see it through the lens of grief. I lost my baby dog in March and got to the rock bottom. When I was struggling and grieving (it lasted for almost 6 months) right where you left me became the song I would turn to whenever I felt my sadness would be forevermore, I didn't want to come to terms with anything and just really wanted to feel the loss. I was frozen in time. Now that the year is ending, I started listening more to it's time to go and am now beginning to cope with everything I went through this year. I didn't know these two songs had this dualism to them, not as two completely different paths, but a single one you follow and progress on your healing journey. ❤‍🩹

good to see you again!!! You should do a the weeknd reaction sometimes, it's truly a dive through the psyche of narcissistic addict man, I would love to seea therapist's perspective on that, and lana also said that he's the man of her songs. But you should look through his old stuff, i have some suggestions - after hours (this is more recent but it's great) - coming down - house of balloons - the party and the after party - valerie - the birds pt1 e pt2

Oh also your little self-deprecating text moment "EXCUSE THE ANNOYING VOICE" -- as a therapist i think you do know that you could model more self- kindness for us ;) these things are endearing and you leave them in to the video for a reason, for personality. No need to apologize for being excited.

Not anymore. But i relate due to my own past. Cutting off contact with my mom, breaking up with one of my partners, quitting my job to become an entrepreneur etc. It's a beautiful, wonderful song.

When your dinner is cold and the chatter gets old You ask for the tab Or that moment again, he's insisting that friends Look at each other like that … When the words of a sister come back in whispers That prove she was not in fact what she seemed Not a twin from your dreams She's a crook who was caught … That old familiar body ache The snaps from the same little breaks in your soul You know when it's time to go … 20 years at your job Then the son of the boss gets the spot that was yours Or trying to stay for the kids When keeping it how it is will only break their hearts worse … That old familiar body ache The snaps from the same little breaks in your soul You know when it's time to go … Sometimes giving up is the strong thing Sometimes to run is the brave thing Sometimes walking out is the one thing That will find you the right thing … Sometimes giving up is the strong thing Sometimes to run is the brave thing Sometimes walking out is the one thing That will find you the right thing … 15 years, 15 million tears Begging 'til my knees bled I gave it my all, he gave me nothing at all Then wondered why I left … Now he sits on his throne in his palace of bones Praying to his greed He's got my past frozen behind glass But I've got me … That old familiar body ache The snaps from the same little breaks in my soul I know when it's time to go … Sometimes giving up is the strong thing Sometimes to run is the brave thing Sometimes walking out is the one thing That will find you the right thing … Sometimes giving up is the strong thing Sometimes to run is the brave thing Sometimes walking out is the one thing That will find you the right thing … That will find you the right thing And you know in your soul And you know in your soul When it's time to go … You know, you know, you know, you know When it's time to go … So then you go Then you go You just go

I have so much trouble making decisions. Being bipolar, sometimes I can't tell if my choices are based in reality or if my brain is fooling me, filling my head with unhealthy, obsessive, catastrophic thoughts and fears. I can't tell if I would feel like I was saving myself or giving up too easily. Extremely difficult to navigate. I've been on mental health meds since I was a teenager, but my cancer diagnosis and treatment and all the things that come with it spiked my bipolar. I was finally correctly diagnosed at 35 after many rounds of Drs, nurses, PAs, and more hospital visits that I can count. I'm managing well but still don't trust my thoughts and actions. Not sure if that will ever go away, but I'll never stop trying. Love your channel, even when it's not about Taylor Swift songs. Keep up the good work. 🫶
