Therapist Licenses | Difference between LMFT vs LPCC | How to become a therapist
Hi today I wanted to talk about the technicality of the different therapist licenses here in California. I'll talk about the two licenses, and where I currently am with getting these licenses.

This career shift was scary for me as well, but it helps a lot to have a community that's also going through a similar transition. Maybe you'll find that through classmates, colleagues, or social media channels💕 I'm very excited for your decision though, it took me a long time to commit to a decision!

Thank you so much for this response! I’ve devoted so much of life to my career, but I’m tired of having to work so hard, for jerk bosses, in a world that is unfulfilling and mentally unhealthy. I’m sure I can ramble for days, but it does seem like these are shared feelings from fellow tech to therapists. You all inspire me. My family and loved ones support me. My colleagues will think I’m nuts. But I’m gonna do the damn thang and get started tomm planning. Thank you, truly -Sam🙏🏽

Hi Sam, thanks for your reply! Yes I also remember feeling similar things so what you shared -- work environments that are held up by bosses with low EQ 😮💨 and I also remember thinking my colleagues would not understand. I actually didn't share with most of them until years later

Just get the extra hours and get both. You spent all that time taking the extra classes. Go for it.
