    can you use the external footswitch to go from for example Recorded LOOP #1 to Recorded LOOP #2 and back again without stopping the Music like the smaller NUX LOOPCore units ? (...by this I mean a Verse Recorded to Loop #1 & a Chorus Recorded to Loop #2 ... and cycle between them at will ~ great for LIVE Playing application )

    I have the Trio but am looking for a simple drum & loop pedal as well. The Trio works well just for me on my own, but for our duo, we need some decent isolated drums with a few looped guitar parts. Can you isolate the drums from the Trio (ie: remove the bass track)? I haven't figured that out, if its possible

    Is there a way to extend recording time on 1 memory bank, other than lowering the BPM? Seems like the loops are limited to 4 bars, so you just can't record different parts in 1 take, like an intro, verse and chorus. I understand from the manual that you can record to different memory banks and use an external footswitch to toggle between loops to create a song structure. If I had known this limitation I wouldn't have bought it. Other than that it is a nice and affordable little gimmick to play with, if you like jamming to the same short loop over and over again.

    If I connect an external footswitch and use it to switch between memory banks on the fly with each memory banks having the different parts of a song(verse-chorus-bridge), do you think it will be possible? Or there would be a bit of a gap in between those memory banks? I know the Nux Loopcore Dlx can do this.

    Thanks for the detailed review! Some questions: [1] Does the drum beat also get saved in the wave file if wanted (ie, if the wav file is played on anther deice then the is drum is there)? I have Digitech Jamman Solo XT and it doesn't. [2] If not that, then will it atleast switch to the same drum beat and tempo when I recalled a saved track, even if the drum beat currently is on a differnt beat and tempo? [3] Does it have an SD card for additional storage? Look forward to part-2, might just sell Jamman and go for this!

    BA Gorimus hi. Thanks for the questions. I will need to ping NuX on a couple of these items. I can tell you that there’s no sd card but there is plenty of on board memory and a USB port to transfer your loops to a different looper if you’d like. And if you look at our playlist you’ll see part 2 of this video series. Have a good one!

    One question before I pull the trigger on this thing: any effects pedals (boost/drive/mods/delay etc) that I run into the JTC if I'm running it last (or near the end of my pedalboard, maybe before my IR loader if I'm going direct) - those effects will not alter the drums sounds, right? It seems like a noob question but I want to make sure I'm 100% before I actually get it. Cheers, always appreciate your demos and replies to my annoying comments & questions :)

  • @ThePedalGuy

    @ThePedalGuy

    Hi Matt. No, those FX will not affect the drums. Anything after the JTC Pro will affect the drums, so this pedal should ideally be put in place at the end of the signal chain.

    Thanks for the question. I would say the main difference is that the Loop Core Dlx includes the external footswitch, which is not the case with this pedal. The routing options on the JTC Pro are insane. Aside from that, this is a pretty standout choice.

    Excellent review (both videos). I recently tried to update the firmware on a Mac and then on a PC. (See Instruction Manual "Update the JTC drum&loop pro". ) Steps 1 and 2: On the Mac (Catalina) the NUX got immediately disconnected every time I tried. On the PC, I could see the NUX folder displayed in Windows 10, but UP was no longer showing on the screen of the NUX. UC was showing instead. (What is UC?) Step 4: Mentions a "firmware file". I looked on the NUX site under "Support". There is no firmware file. Does this mean it has never been updated? Where else is the firmware file going to come from? Steps 5 and 6: Never made it this far. Have you tried? Thanks - G

    Hi. Thanks for the feedback and question. When you download the firmware update, there is a file in that folder which the file you're looking for. As for connectivity issues with Mac I can't help there as I'm working on Windows. Not sure what the UC stands for. But if you send me a mail at info@thepedalguy.com I will see if we can help get your questions answered.

    It seems to me this NU-X Pedal comes with Software that allows you to Take a Backing track and IMPORT it to the JTC PRO. the software will convert your Backing Track from WAV , M4a (iTunes), or any other format , to NU-X format. This is great news , the now discontinued JAMMAN series was really lacking in any kind of "modern" software. I noticed this issue with other devices, such as KORG/ROLAND Digital Multi Track machines, you have to convert from the KORG File type to WAV by transfering from the Multi track unit to your computer, the Korg would convert the file type on Export, so you could then mix it down in your DAW. Similar principle, good to see NU-X has pulled out of the stone age, and has worthy Software, that will virtually replace the now officially "DISCONTINUED" Jamman series
