Working at the interface of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computer Science, the Theoretical and Computational Biophysics group at Freie Universität Berlin describes physical processes within biological systems and uncovers the functions of biological macromolecules. Molecular simulations are applied on various scales, from whole molecules treated as one particle to the dynamics of electrons and nuclei.
