yeah the music helps alot in visualizing how the final showdown would look like if it were to get made into a animated movie like how ember lab has made that short clip. the part when you can hear a bit of the song of time could for example be where the parts of the movie when the memory of zelda and hyrule or when the magic of the ocarina of time has saved him. either a movie or a tv series.

I don't think there will ever be a game again that captures the urgency, the gloom, the doom, the loneliness, the bleakness, the regret, that this game rolled all into one. Many games have showed epic disaster time and time again, but it always rang so hollow. This game made you CARE about every person in that world. We can remember them all - they all had hopes, dreams, and plans, and it was all coming to an end. That is, until you got there.

Patrick Oliver The fact that Nintendo won't allow to make a Majoras Mask movie and we have to watch and listen to fan made soundtracks and shorts. It's teasing. Breathtaking achievements. This captures the darkness that Majoras Mask really is, i was worried people would think of it as a cheesy kids game. The storyline is something on a thrilling scale and it's quite sad really, we have all these potential animators and soundtrack artists. Allow them to make a movie already.

Can you imagine a trailer to a Majora's Mask movie with this music? It starts out with a black screen, with the sounds of large clockwork, and finally a voice saying "You've met a terrible fate, haven't you?" Then the music begins at 2:46, and at every horn burst, they show a different, live-action location in Termina, slowly building up to 3:43, where it then cuts to Anju holding holding the pendant of memories, shifting her gaze up into the sky at the enlarged, ominous moon, finally breaking into the main trailer action sequence at 3:50. I would scream.

From what I hear in this music, it speaks more to the side of the giants. This song portrays thier side of the story. These celestial being were sleeping in peace until a child awokened each and every one of them. Halfway through the music essentially highlights their importance in this story. 3/4 way into this piece shows the purpose and the struggle they face as they hold the moon with all of their might. In the end, the giants finish the job. The music does not finish peacefully. It cuts off abruptly, as it signifies all the effort that has been placed in stopping the moon has paid off.

@@axelarias8110 to me, When I heard the giants, I could visualize the skull kid attempting to remove the mask, but not being strong enough. Then when all hope seemed lost and the world was at it's knees, the giants bestow the fierce deity mask upon link. And after seeing the suffering and terror brought upon the world as a result, link made his choice. He decided to fight. To courageously charge forward and face his mighty foe. And when the majora's mask revealed its true nature link protected skull kid. With that the battle inside the moon began. The fight was long and hard, and as the final blow was struck the moon began to rise. But link knew that unless the masks were all sealed away they could resurface and destroy the world. He decided to stay on the moon, to act as a guardian from the evil of his own mask.

In another parallel reality, the beginning snippet of that section before the MM music and the Giant's vocal resumes would be the sound that plays behind the Great Deku Tree telling Link of the great evil that rode forth upon a shadowbound steed with eyes of blood from the Gerudo Desert in search of power to corrupt the realm to his will. Would have made the meeting with him and the steed at the Castle Town Gate possibly terrifying beyond belief because they'd have a mysterious motif to accent his evil. Link should have not known his power with the mystery finally revealing his true evil once he decides to attempt killing him then and there. They should have explained later that he knew the entire time who you would become and killed the Great Deku Tree for protecting you rather than to gain power.

Now that Nintendo's making movies, this song made me realize how much we need this to be a series focusing on all the Quests and connecting us to the world and deepening the lore. Mario works as a movie, all zelda adaptions should be series imo

I was totally waiting to hear the main part of it with the whole ensemble blasting it at the end, but the somber direction with only the ocarina playing it was an outstanding choice. You only hear the main phrase 3 times in total. First in the cello, then in the female voice, and then finally in the ocarina. Masterful composition

Oh my gosh! I am just in love with your work man. Majora's Mask is a special game to me, I consider it my favorite video game, period. The way you capture the aesthetics almost perfectly let's the listener imagine the scene in their head and it truly feels like I'm there in Termina, witnessing the despair and never ending dread (in a good way of course) Like this song for example, the way you did it was just perfect. The chimes of the clock making you never forget the fate of the world and the people in it. How you face the giant, while Termina is in trouble. Gah, I can't find words for how amazing this is.

"What a great fucking life". I will never forget the anger, hatred, and spite with which he said those words. He went off to a job interview, forgot some important piece of paperwork, and tried calling me. But I was playing Majora's Mask at the time, and then, just as now, I had the ringer of my phone off. He came home earlier than I expected. Saw me enjoying my life. Ridiculed my choice of entertainment. And left, blaming me for his own problems. And I believed him. Believe. "I'm proud of you, son". I will never forget the sincerity, love, and heartfelt joy with which he said those words. No particular reason, no particular occasion. My dad was many things, but a liar was not one of them. If he said something it was because he believed it. He meant it. And he said he was proud of me. But I couldn't believe him. Can't. He is gone but I remain, blaming him for my own problems. One day I will beat Majora's Mask. On that day, I will have either overcome my failures as a human being or embraced them as a part of who I am. Until then... I will hide myself from myself. I am not ready to face the man in the mirror. I don't know when, or even if, I will be. That's the true final boss of any life though, isn't it? The "Self". Reconciling It with what we think It should be, based on what we're taught It should be, with what It actually is.

The last 30 seconds is just magical. I would like to imagine it plays while Link is trying to make his way back to Kokiri forest and at first it seems he makes it and is finally able to see his friends and live his childhood again for real this time. Link smiles and runs towards everyone only for the camera to suddenly pans to Lost Wood. We now are presented with a withered, sad-looking Stalfos wearing a green tunic, an old and broken ocarina by his hand, sitting alone under a tree in the rain. Music ends.

Holy mother of christ, listening to this makes me imagine a movie of majora's mask. It is a matter of closing your eyes... 0:00 and imagining Link fighting against the Majora's mask inside the moon, while the 4 giant sages are trying to stop it, the whole village in flames and in return in screams and fear. Skull Kid looking around feeling guilty for having made so much risk in Termina and for being a Majora's puppet. The sky all wrapped in red. 2:48 Meanwhile Link fallen after his fight with the last stage of Majora, think of all those who helped him in his adventure, even remembering events from Ocarina of Time. Link gets up and 3:49 puts on the mask of the Fierce Deity. 9:27 Link of the fierce deity gives the final blow to Majora and he destroys it. 9:41 Majora explodes and with that the Moon is gradually destroying itself. The 4 giants rise up and push it away. Everyone in Termina screams of encouragement and hope. 10:52 Finally, the young Link falls passed out from the highest point on the moon. This whole sequence in slow motion. Then Skull Kid catch him in the air. Next act shows us the ending of Majora's Mask. You see? A symphony can cause so much in one.
